For years you’ve been collecting lids, dropping them off and helping us keep thousands of kilograms of plastic out of landfill. 💚
Thank you. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.
But we’ve reached a point where we need to be honest.
We’re now receiving far more lids than we can sustainably process. Every lid needs to be sorted, cleaned, shredded and remanufactured using specialised equipment, electricity and hundreds of volunteer hours.
The missing piece is this…
A circular economy doesn’t end with collecting plastic. It only works when people choose to buy products made from that recycled plastic.
Without demand for recycled products, we’re simply creating a growing stockpile of recycled material with nowhere to go.
To help keep the program running, we’re introducing a qualifying purchase for all lid drop-offs.
🛒 Minimum online store purchase
• 0–20 kg of lids – $20
• 20–50 kg – $30
• Over 50 kg – $50
Every purchase directly supports the cost of recycling your lids and helps ensure they become something useful instead of waste.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the only way we can continue offering this service.
If we can’t close the loop, we’ll eventually have to stop accepting lids altogether.
