More skill building! πŸ…

You may recall seeing this participant having successfully built his first Lego piece back in November. With the support and dedication of our support workers, not only was this participant able to budget appropriately to buy new sets, but was able to build this cool truck SOLO!

Our support workers are dedicated to helping participants to reach their goals, whether its budgeting, encouraging new hobbies, creating new goals or supporting participants to clean to make more room for Lego! You could say, we love 'building' our participants capacity and 'creating' a fun environment and long lasting memories.

If you would like to know more about what our support workers can assist you with, please reach out to the [email protected] email or send us a message on facebook!

Community Access! πŸš—

Our support workers love to support participants in accessing the community as apart of the listed NDIS goals. An opportunity to enjoy a coffee while soaking up the rays and becoming more confident in the community setting is just one way we are able to support you! How can you pass up the chance to 'seas' the day! 🐚

If you want to know more about the community access opportunities that Canefields can support you with please email [email protected] or send us a message on facebook!

Throwback to when our wonderful support worker had the opportunity to assist this participant to the Australian Open! An opportunity to both engage with the community and work on the capacity to be in a large crowd is a challenge we are always up to supporting participants with!

Group activities in the community!

Thanks to the staff that assisted these NDIS participants for an adventure to Australia Zoo last week! Organised by our support coordinator Ebony, she was able to successfully plan a day that fostered the participants group and community access as well as providing an opportunity to form relationships and build on their skills.

Judging by the smiles on their faces, they had a turtle-ly awesome time! 🐒

If participating in group activities, forming new friendships and working towards your community goals is something you need, please reach out to our NDIS team via facebook or email [email protected] πŸ˜€

Community Access β˜•

One our participants had a great time with their support worker when enjoying light lunch on his community access! Having the support to access the community assists participants that experience social anxiety and also helps prevent self-isolation.

Accessing the community is important when increasing a participants self confidence and our amazing support workers enjoy being able to make this happen! If you are in need of NDIS supports please reach out to our team πŸ˜„

ARFs πŸ“

Having trouble accessing the NDIS? No idea where to start? What is an ARF??

An Access Request Form (ARF) is an application submitted to the NDIS to show evidence that you require support in your everyday life due to a disability. Canefields Community NDIS supports have the capacity to support those that have been diagnosed with a psycho-social impairment and/or disabilities to complete and submit this application.

Message or call us for ARF support as our team are prepared to assist you in obtaining information and completing the application!
