Jolly Good Events We host jolly good events! Creating wholesome fun and community by bringing back the town hall dance.

Jolly Good Events was birthed from the wistful and wandering minds of a few lads and lasses whilst reminiscing of days gone by where good old fashioned fun was played out in local town halls full of swaying skirts and smartly dressed gentlemen. Troubled by the lack of options for entertainment and the chance to meet new people in a safe and fun environment, these creative folks resolved to bring b

ack a 'dance revival' to their local community by hosting old fashioned dances in the McLaren Vale Institute Hall. Coupled with this vision is the passion to use these events to go beyond benefiting the local community and towards helping our friends in Uganda, sowing into projects that help the most poor and vulnerable. It is a joy and a privilege to have the opportunity to give into precious lives and see hopes and dreams come to a reality. The folks at Jolly Good Events strive for excellence in all their endeavours, constantly pursuing ways to create the most enjoyable experience possible for every valued guest.

We’d love to say a big thank you to all our amazing vendors and volunteers who helped make the magic happen. ✨

- for the gorgeous cosy lighting - you really set the atmosphere!💡
- McLaren Vale Institute Hall for the beautiful venue (how good are those shiny wooden floorboards for dancing?!)💃🏼
- Peggotty’s Bush Band for the seriously fun music and dance calling - you were an absolute hit! 🎻
- for generously donating their beautiful locally grown native flowers 🌼
- Coast and Vines Church - for cooking and baking up a delicious storm to keep everyone well fed, lending practical support to set up/pack down/ensure the night ran smoothly. This wouldn’t have happened without you all!
- for the flower arrangements 💫
- Every one of YOU for bringing your fun and laughter and amazing energy. 🤠

So wonderful to see community come together to create something beautiful. And for such a wonderful cause ($4,000 raised for ) 🙏🏻

Sorry for the pause folk, it was a wild week for me (Bonnie) with 3 weddings to flower for, but I’m back! And with good news! 🥁

Together we raised $4,000 for !! How good is that?! 🤠

We’re so grateful to every one of you for showing up and adding ridiculous amounts of joy and fun to the night. So so good. 🥹

And incredibly grateful to all those who cooked/baked and gave of their time and skill to make the night such a beautiful success. How wonderful is community?! 🥲

More to come, but couldn’t wait any longer to bring you this little update. So delighted to be able to support such a wonderful organisation. 💛

A special call out to all the men! Come on, get ya boots on and grab your tickets! So many wonderful women are booked in and it would be nice to balance out the energy (though of course, we know how to have a good time either way don’t we ladies!!) 👩🏼‍🌾

Just a quick note re online ticket sales (via our website - link in bio!). The back end of our website doesn’t currently have an option to send a ‘ticket’ as such, via email when you’ve bought one. You should receive a confirmation of your order, but not a nifty ‘admit one’ sort of ticket. Sorry about that! But fear not - if your payment went through, you’re booked in. We have you down and will check you at the door. We’ll have a door list but you can also screenshot/show your confirmation email. 🥰

Or if you hate computers/online things (I guess you won’t be reading this then!)…tickets will be available at the door (unless sold out). $55 online, $60 at the door. 🚪
