Today, 2 June, we celebrate the birth of the Italian Republic and mark the 80th anniversary of this historic milestone.

Festa della Repubblica is a time to honour the values of democracy, freedom and unity, while also celebrating the rich culture, traditions and contributions of Italians around the world.

Today, we celebrate not only Italy’s history, but also the enduring legacy of Italian Australians who have shared their culture, traditions and values with generations of Western Australians.

On behalf of the Perth Italian Festival Committee, we wish everyone a wonderful Festa della Repubblica.

The Albany Italian Club was delighted to host its first ever Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, bringing our community together to raise funds for the Cancer Council and support those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Guests enjoyed a warm and welcoming morning, raffles, guess the number of tea bags and silent auctions before moving into the hall for a generous spread of Italian savouries, homemade cakes, biscuits and friendly conversation.

The strong participation and heartfelt atmosphere made this event a wonderful success and a meaningful contribution to an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, baked, organised, and supported the day by helping clean up and doing dishes.

Your kindness and community spirit help make a real difference.

Together, we share food, friendship, and hope.

We have raised $3974.25.

Sweet and savoury slices, homemade cakes and desserts filled the tables at the Albany Italian Club last week as people gathered for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of cancer research.

Our Club's Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer Council Australia was held on Thursday, 21st May.

Attached are some photos of the event, showing the setup, food & refreshments with a few of the attendees. There were silent auctions, raffles and 'Guess the number of teabags'.

Thank you to all who came, including the generous sponsors... we had a wonderful time and raised around $4,000 ☕🤩😍
