Our sessions are a wonderful opportunity for children to explore, play and make friends while parents and carers connect with other local families in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

This is a stay-and-play session, so parents and carers stay with their children throughout.

If you enjoy your visit, we'll also have a special membership offer available on the day for families who'd like to join our playgroup community.

We'd love to meet you! 💛 Feel free to tag a friend with little ones who might enjoy coming along.

🤔 How does playgroup actually work?

If you've never been to a playgroup before, you might be wondering what to expect!

At Maylands Playgroup, there are no teachers, no classes and no pressure—just a welcoming space where children can play and families can connect.

Here's how a typical session works:

🧸 Arrive when it suits you during the session.

🎨 Children choose what they'd like to do. They might explore our sensory play, get creative with craft, build with blocks, play in the home corner, enjoy playdough or simply make new friends.

☕ Parents and carers stay and play too! Chat with other local families while your little one explores. You're always with your child, so you can join in the fun or let them play independently while you supervise.

🥪 Bring along a nut-free snack and water bottle for your family. We often stop for a snack together, but there's no strict schedule.

🌈 Every visit is different because it's all about child-led play, imagination and community.

If you've been thinking about giving playgroup a try, our FREE Open Days are the perfect opportunity to come and see what we're all about—no commitment, just come along and enjoy a morning of play!

We can't wait to welcome you and your little ones! 💛

🦀 We've got a new toy at Maylands Playgroup! 🦀

Say hello to our adorable little spinning crab! ❤️

This fun toy might look simple, but it's packed with learning opportunities. Little hands can spin the wheel, watch the colourful beads race around, and explore cause and effect while developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

It's already proving hard to resist! 🤭

Come and give it a whirl at your next playgroup session—and while you're here, explore all of our other play spaces, sensory activities and craft stations.

We love adding new experiences for our little explorers! 🌈✨

What's your child's favourite type of toy? Let us know below! 👇
