Australian Geographic just published a powerful article about the thousands of rusting war wrecks littering our oceans — some still holding millions of litres of oil, chemicals, and explosives.
The Major Projects Foundation is proud to be featured for our work identifying and decontaminating the most high-risk wrecks across the Pacific, especially in places like Chuuk Lagoon. With limited local resources, these communities face the brunt of a problem they didn’t cause.
By mapping wrecks, modelling oil spill risks, and building local capability, we’re helping stop a silent crisis before it hits. Thank you to Australian Geographic for shining a light on this global issue.
