Ngarang-Wal Elders created this as our legacy, and we carry on their dreams and goals of environmental conservation, while keeping our Ngarang-Wal clan employed and build our own economy Ngarang-Wal Gold Coast Aboriginal Association are the traditional owners of the Gold Coast area known as the Kombumerri people. We have a unique dialect from our Wider Bundjalung language group - no affiliations w

ith Yugambeh - it is only used as a sub-language fill-in for our lost verbal languages - that’s the extent of their use here for us Kombumerri.
**please ignore claims to our Kombumerri heritage from pages like Yugmabeh Nation that falsify facts and claim our group as a sub of them - this is highly false and inaccurate, we are our own people and mob separate from their regional claims over us!!

Today we honour all our ANZAC soldiers and our frontier warriors.

This morning around the Country people showed respect and we were fortunate enough to have our First Nations cultures share Songlines together here on the Northern Gold Coast - we shared our Dreaming and cultural connections - both our people carry the spirit of the land and our people. It was a beautiful moment and we hope to see this grow every year 🫶🏽🌿

We honour all the fallen today, the rain symbolises the tears of the spirits - they weep with us today - it is cleanse of country and of soul for us all 🌧️ sending love to all Australian & New Zealand families today.

We have this onsite and why we urge people to stick to tracks as these plants do occur down this way too!! Best way to tell is the little green hairs all over the stem and leaves🙂‍↔️ ❌🍃

The most painful plant on Earth: Gympie Gympie.

Dendrocnide moroides delivers its venomous sting through razor-sharp trichomes.

These tiny hairs inject neurotoxic peptides, called gympietides, into the nervous system. Even intravenous morphine may not fully relieve the pain.

It is valuable for pain research and drug development.

The only publicly displayed one in the U.S. is ours!

Reminder that this is tomorrow morning!! See you out at GIPA 🌿
