“On earth, there is no greater treasure than the Divine Liturgy. St Seraphim of Sarov

Join us this week as we gather for our Monthly English Divine Liturgy.

The Divine Liturgy is the heart of the Church’s life, where heaven and earth meet, where we offer thanksgiving, and where we are drawn into communion with Christ and one another.

As St Kallinikos of Edessa beautifully says, “The Divine Liturgy is our party” a joyful celebration of faith, prayer, and the Kingdom of God in our midst.

Come and pray with us, worship with us, and share in the beauty of the Divine Liturgy in English.

The City Fell, But the Faith Endured
Remembering the Fall of Constantinople

In 1453 on May 29th, the Royal City of Constantinople fell but the Orthodox faith, its worship, memory, and spiritual inheritance endured.

Join us for a reflective evening as we remember the Fall of Constantinople, not only as a moment of historical loss, but as a powerful witness to endurance, faithfulness, and hope. Though the walls of the City were broken, the faith of the Church continued to live, flourish, and be passed down through generations.

Together we will reflect on:✦ The significance of the Fall of Constantinople✦ The legacy of the Royal City in Orthodox memory✦ How faith endured through suffering and loss✦ Why remembering history matters for us today

The City fell, but the faith endured and its light continues to shine.

Remembering the Fall of Constantinople

Memory is more than simply recalling the past — it is the foundation of identity, culture, and meaning.

Join us for a reflective evening as we explore the importance of memory in history through the Fall of Constantinople, one of the most significant moments in the story of the Christian East and the Orthodox world.

The fall of the Royal City reminds us that history is not only about events and dates, but about the people, faith, sacrifices, and legacies that continue to shape generations. Through memory, we preserve what was lost, honour what endured, and reflect on how the past continues to speak to the present.

Together we will reflect on:
✦ Why memory matters in understanding history
✦ The Fall of Constantinople and its lasting significance
✦ How the past shapes identity, culture, and belonging
✦ The role of remembrance in preserving faith, heritage, and truth

To remember is to keep history alive.
