A shout out also to two wonderful local clubs/associations for their ongoing support.

Thank you to Maryborough Pony Club QLD who have allowed us to borrow horse event equipment for many years now.

Also a huge thank you to the Fraser Coast Agriculture Show Society Inc. for coming on board the last few years supplying tables, chairs & gazebos.

The cost of hiring equipment is crazy expensive these days, so having the support of these two organisations means we can focus sponsorship dollars in other areas, which means more the kids.

🚨 ARENA UPDATE

Unfortunately there are some concerns about the surface in the East Arena. We have been in discussions with the Maryborough Showgrounds & Equestrian Park and we've decided the safest option for horses & riders will be to relocate the Cowboy Racing to the Undercover Arena and move Mechanical Cow to the Cutting Pen.

This will allow both disciplines the space they need and be a safer option for our young riders as well as looking after the health of all our horses legs.

The Map & Program will be updated on the QYAEC App shortly. But please refer to the Map below in the meantime.

We will ask that no riders utilise the East Arena during our event. Thank you.

We have an update on our Clinicians. Unfortunately crowd favourite Rod Osborne is not well and won't be able to attend next week. We wish Rod & his family all the best.

Despite being in a hospital bed, he has managed to find two very capable replacements. On Tuesday & Wednesday we will have Scott Hergest for the clinics & lessons and then on Thursday & Friday we will have NRHA accredited Judge Jessica Watson stepping into the ring. Both are very capable and we are very thankful for them stepping in at the last minute πŸ‘

Jessica Watson Bio: Starting her riding journey at a young age, Jessica discovered her passion for reining in 2013 and has been a dedicated competitor, leader, and advocate for the sport ever since.
Jessica’s contributions extend far beyond the show pen. Her dedication and leadership saw her guide an Australian NRHA Affiliate to become one of the most successful Reining clubs during her tenure as President. Her commitment to the sport is defined by her values of authenticity, transparency, and community.
Now holding the title of NRHA Accredited Judge, Jessica brings her extensive knowledge, rider experience, and unwavering love of reining into the arena in every role she undertakes.

🚨 **UPDATED PROGRAM

We have managed to group together roughly the same sized groupings from the Year levels and piece together a Program for Thursday & Friday that makes sense on paper (I think πŸ₯΄)

If you see any issues like a missing class for a group or a double up, please let us know straight away so we can correct it. We are all volunteers doing our best around work and other commitments, so sometimes we miss things.

🚨 PATTERN ALERT!

The Cowboy Racing courses are live on the QYAEC App. But here's a sneak peek below.

We have spread the Cowboy Racing comps over Thursday & Friday with a break afterwards in the Program so hopefully that will allow enough time to get through the larger groups and not have a bottle-neck.

Please be patient with our longer classes, as it is very difficult to balance classes that go for very different time frames, across groups with varying numbers & varying levels of ability and still make sure everyone gets a fair go.

Remember we are about supporting one another to learn & grow.
