This week, we're reading from chapter 6 (again) of La Marr Jurelle Bruce's 'How To Go Mad Without Losing Your Mind: Madness and Black Radical Creativity'. This chapter focusses on Dave Chappelle and the maddening of Black genius. Pages 172-201

When: Thursday 18th September from 6pm

Psych Abolition and Mad Liberation Study Group is a fortnightly space to collectively learn, share, and contemplate the links between carcerality, psychiatry, and madness. The space will be open from 6pm to allow reading time. From 7-9pm we'll chat about the chapter, and read parts of it out together. No stress if you don't read the chapter beforehand. All welcome. No prior experience or knowledge necessary. Masks encouraged. There will be an air purifier running in the space. Space is wheelchair accessible but the bathroom doors are narrow and are not. Closest wheelchair accessible bathroom is 210m away at the royal exchange.

Have you got a zine donation? Or a wish to gallivant Other Worlds with a special Frontyard tape recorder?

Other Worlds shares its magic on the 2nd August at Marrickville Town Hall. If you would like to join the Frontyard table please drop off your zine+ donations at Frontyard with name, publication, and contact details (phone and email) and sale price.
