What a finish to the 51st Rip Curl West Coast Classic presented by
In true West Coast fashion, the swell delivered at pumping Lighthouse Beach for finals day 👌
Clean offshore conditions set the stage for an epic finish, with interstate surfers taking the Mens and women's opens win — Western Australia’s Gracie Carter and Victoria’s Joe Rocco Sommerville claiming the titles 🏆 While in true competitive style Tasmanian surfers Tom Robert's and Sienna Lawrence pushed the winners, both performing well and nipping at champions heels!
Standout performances saw Coby O'Day post the highest female heat score, while Jy Johannesen also lit up the lineup — both earning perfect 10s 🤯

Hey crew, please note:

To comply with our Parks and Wildlife Licence, we remind attendees that dogs are strictly prohibited in National Park areas. For the West Coast Classic this includes West Point Reserve and Lighthouse Beach where reminder signage will be displayed. Outside of the National Parks, the Circular Head Council displays signage rules for dogs.

We love our furry friends but we also love having access to these incredible coastlines.

Please respect signage and have an awesome WCC!!!

Tassie UNLSHD girls putting in the work at Urban Surf! 🏄🏻‍♀️
Jessica Gardner, Lola Reid, Neve Andrews, Willow Direen, Millie Beach and Layla Maslin hit the wave pool last week for a huge training day, joined by developing Tasmanian high performance coach Ava Frey () alongside the UNLSHD crew.
So great to combine a training day with the Victoria participants - building connections that go beyond the water, with friendships, shared encouragement, and valuable skill exchange 🤝🌊
UNLSHD, Surfing Australia’s U14 & U15 girls development program, is such an incredible opportunity for our Tassie girls! We can’t wait to see this group continue to grow their skills, push their limits, and make the most of everything the program has to offer.
