👏Congratulations to Christine Hay, 2025 AILA Fellowship recipient!

Christine Hay has provided nationally significant leadership in cultural landscape conservation through her award-winning work on the AILA Landscape Heritage Study and landmark heritage listings such as the Appin Massacre Cultural Landscape. Her pioneering methodologies and values-based advocacy have shaped heritage policy, raised the profile of AILA, and strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration. Through sustained leadership on committees, public engagement, teaching and mentoring, Christine has elevated landscape architecture's role in conservation practice and her work continues to influence.

Join us for a First Nations designed and led day of yarns and workshops unpacking Designing with Country and Country Centred Design practices — featuring leading figures in the field sharing their expertise throughout the day.

Sessions are casual and interactive, creating space for honest conversations about the brilliant, boring, and mind-boggling corners of our industry.

Open to AILA, AIA, and PIA members, and all interested First Nations mob, Grounded is about breaking down barriers and getting into what really matters — from where we stand.
