🇫🇯 A SIT-DOWN WITH SKILZS FJ 🎶

Ahead of Fiji Day on the Coast 2026, we sat down with Skilzs FJ for a conversation about culture, community and why celebrations like this matter.

We asked him:

🌺 What does culture mean to you?
🤝 Why are events like Fiji Day on the Coast important for our community?
🇫🇯 What would you say to someone thinking about coming along?

Hear what Skilzs FJ had to say and why bringing people together to celebrate culture and community is so important.

Skilzs FJ will also be joining us on the day as part of the celebrations.

🇦🇺 Australian National Flag Day | 3 September 2026

Today we proudly recognise 125 years since the Australian National Flag was first officially flown on 3 September 1901.

On this day in 1901, Australia’s first Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Edmund Barton, announced the winners of an international competition to design a flag for our nation. A large Australian flag was then flown over the dome of Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building.

Australian National Flag Day provides an opportunity to recognise the history and significance of our national flag and the values that bring Australians together.

At Bula Mate Project, we are proud to acknowledge this important day and celebrate the spirit of community, respect and unity.

🇦🇺 Happy Australian National Flag Day.

Heads up! 🚨

Australia's new AusAlert emergency warning system will undergo a national test at 2:00pm (AEST) tomorrow, Monday, 27 July. If you have a compatible mobile phone, tablet or smartwatch, you may receive a test alert with a loud siren and vibration.

The message will clearly state it's only a test, but it's a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with this important new emergency warning system before it goes live later this year.
