Applications for the 2026 Young Women in Leadership Award are now invited by the Zonta Club of Redcliffe.

This Award is open to young women who are aged 16 to 19 years on 01 April 2026 and live, study or work in Clontarf, Deception Bay, Margate, Mango Hill, Newport, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Rothwell, Scarborough or Woody Point, and who demonstrate evidence of the following:

- Active commitment to volunteerism.
- Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
- Volunteer leadership achievements.
- Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
- Support in Zonta International's mission of building a better world for women and girls.

Vale Sandra Craig

Sandra joined the Zonta Club of Redcliffe in 1981 and remained an active, beloved member for over 40 years. She was a valued President (1996 - 98), Vice President, Treasurer and Board Member.

As a dedicated Zontian, Sandra attended three International Conventions representing Zonta Redcliffe in Helsinki, Dallas and Paris. Sandra's commitment to Zonta included her efficient management of our local Bingo Fund-Raising roster for over 20 years, generating a significant sum to further the work of the club locally and internationally. Zonta was a huge part of Sandra's life and gave her great joy and pleasure.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Jenny, Lee, Marie, and June proudly represented the Zonta Club of Redcliffe at the inaugural Community Service Moreton Bay Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence Practitioner Recognition Awards 2025, held today at USC Petrie.

We are honored to share that our Club was selected as a finalist in the Community Service Award category. Congratulations to the Highly Commended awardee, Lou Feltham-Smith, and to the winners, Deb and Lynda from Mindle Bygul—your dedication is truly inspiring.

Our heartfelt congratulations also go out to all the other winners and nominees recognized today. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community.
