Yesterday, Brenda and Cheryl visited Paradise Pastures Sheep Rescue & Sanctuary with some Weet-Bix and treats.

The moment the sheep spotted them, they came running across the paddocks.

Not because they were being chased.
Not because they were afraid.

Because they knew they were about to be fed by people they trust.

For many of these sheep, life wasn’t always like this. Some were destined for slaughter, some were unwanted, neglected, abandoned, or considered worthless by the industry.

Today, they have something every animal deserves: safety, shelter from the elements, full bellies, friendship, kindness, and a place to call home.

Watching them run towards their carers is a beautiful reminder that these animals are individuals. They form friendships, recognise familiar faces, feel joy, and value their lives just as much as we value ours.

Our GoFundMe is still running, but donations have slowed to almost a standstill. Unfortunately, the cost of caring for so many rescued animals doesn’t stop. Feed, hay, veterinary care, water, and shelter are ongoing daily expenses.

If you are able to help, even the smallest donation makes a difference.

$20 helps.

Every contribution goes directly towards keeping these beautiful souls safe, fed, warm, and loved.

Because of your kindness and support, Paradise Pastures Sheep Rescue & Sanctuary has now gone over halfway towards our $12,000 fundraising goal 🙏🐑

Every donation, every share, every kind word has helped keep this sanctuary going and allowed Bobby Ker and Baco Baco to continue taking in more vulnerable little ones as lambing season begins.

The reality is… the costs never stop.
Feed alone is hundreds of dollars every single week, not including fuel, milk formula, hay, vet bills, rescue pick-ups and emergency care.

These receipts are just a glimpse into what it takes to keep over 150 rescued sheep and lambs safe, fed and loved 💚

Meet little Amanda 🐑💚

Named after Amanda Dorn - Animal Justice Party MP WA, this tiny girl is only 14 days old.

Amanda was rescued from a slaughterhouse kill floor after her mum gave birth and was killed shortly after. These stories are heartbreaking — and sadly, they happen far more often than most people realise.

Today Amanda is safe at Paradise Pastures Sheep Rescue & Sanctuary, where she will finally know love, kindness, and protection. 🌿
