On Sunday 15th March we celebrated the end of another fantastic Woodside Nippers 2025/26 season. What an incredible few months it has been!❤️💛

A huge thank you to all our families for your ongoing support and for helping make this season so much fun for our kids.

A special thank you to Ray White Stocker Preston for sponsoring our Season Marathon, and a massive congratulations to our Under 8 winner Van for taking out the win – we are so proud!🏆

Congratulations to all our medal winners, and to every single nipper who showed up, gave it a go, learnt new skills and most importantly had fun.

We can’t wait to do it all again next season! 🌊💙

Five new Bronze Medallions for MRSLC 🌊🏅

Congratulations to Daniel, Richard, Lia, Ash and Jacob who successfully completed their Bronze Medallion assessment. Legends 💪

Huge thanks to Shelly from Busselton SLSC for coming down to assess, and to everyone who supported the course.

Our next Bronze course will be at the start of next season, and we’re always keen to welcome new crew!

Final Nippers this Sunday at Gnarabup 🌊

9:30am start at our usual spot.

We’ll kick off with the Ray White Stocker Preston Marathon, followed by fun and games on the beach.

⏰ 11:00am we hit Gnarabup Oval
🏅 Presentations & medals awarded
🌭 BBQ and icy poles for the kids

Families are welcome to head to The Common afterwards to celebrate the season.

If you can, please park up the top car park.

What a fantastic day at Woodside Nippers Points Day - 8th March ☀️🌊

Our Nippers had an incredible morning down at Gnarabup beach for the second-last club day of the season, and the sunshine certainly showed up for us.

A huge well done to all the kids who got involved, gave it their best and most importantly had fun. We love seeing their confidence and skills grow each week.

While points are being recorded, Nippers is always about participation, learning and having fun in the surf! Whether you’re collecting points or just coming down to enjoy the beach with friends, everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved.

HAPPY Red & Yellow Day! To all the Surf Life Saving volunteers across WA, we extend a heartfelt thank you!

Thank you for giving of your time to help keep our beaches safe, be it on the frontline patrolling or behind the scenes keeping our clubs running, there are a million ways in which all of our volunteers contribute to keeping our beaches safe for the community!

Today, as we celebrate the very first Red & Yellow Day, it’s a chance for all of us to recognise and appreciate the important role you play.

Today we mixed things up and had a great day in Gracetown 🌊

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up - our families, age group managers, water safety crew and our surf lifesavers.

We’re so grateful for the support that makes days like this possible.

There was some incredible big surf rolling in out the back, giving us some pretty unique conditions and plenty of excitement.

We’ll be back at Gnarabup next week - see you there 💛❤️🖤

🌊This Sunday, we’re heading to Gracetown for our Nippers session.

📍Venue change: Gracetown Beach
⏰ Same time: 9:30am start
🔥 BBQ to follow, so stick around for a relaxed catch-up.

Parking will be tight, so please carpool where you can.

The surf is set to be pumping, but the bay is well protected, so we're calling on our amazing water safety crew 🙏 the more hands we have on deck, the more kids we can safely get into the water to experience different conditions.

This session is Shire and DCBA approved 💪🏽 We’re looking forward to another great morning exploring a new beach.

Ripper afternoon for our first Woodside nippers session for 2026 ☀️

It’s great to be back on the beach, with plenty of fun had by all. We wrapped up at The Common to round out a perfect day.

🏅 Bronze Medallion & Surf Rescue Certificate Courses

📅 Course commences Thursday 12 February.

Ready to take the next step in surf lifesaving? Our upcoming Bronze Medallion course runs over four weeks, with sessions on Thursday afternoons and early Sunday mornings (before Nippers).

Training includes online, dry, and wet components.

What you need:
• 400m swim in under 9 minutes (tested 15 Feb)
• General fitness for rescues and CPR

Minimum age: 15 for Bronze
Ages 13–14 can complete the Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)
