Frequency is alarming

Shark attack in between the flags in Sydney!!!!!

There has just been an attack at coogee beach in Sydney, the person is not in a good way.

Once again, a weekly occurrence at this stage.

Middle of the day, beautiful weather, cleanish water.

This one has white or tiger written all
Over it, but who knows with the way things are at the moment.

Thoughts are with the victim and hopefully it’s a good outcome.

Veteran surfer Koa Smith is recovering after a shark bit both of his legs at a South Shore surf break. The 38-year-old paddled to shore, crawled across the sand for help and is expected to make a full recovery. ⬇

Firstly condolences to his family and friends .
Such sad news and could the authorities prevented this attack ?
They always allow GW’s to swim away after ANY attack regardless if fatal or not .!
A capture/ kill Drumline should be deployed immediately after any attack .
This I asked the then Fishies Minister (Dave Kelly ) after the Parliament rally 7 years ago !

Could it be the same large GW that killed Ken Crew & Dorreen Coyler many years ago ( 4/4.5 mtrs ) . ??
We can never prove this BUT as I said when granted an audience with Dave & his team .
“ WHY DON’T WE ERR ON THE SIDE OF PUBLIC SAFETY “ !!!!!!!
It’s just prudent Common Sense and a simple Duty of Care to the public .
More sharks = More attacks ; simple maths .

The loss of ONE GW will have no affect on the biomass . They have tagged over 1,400 GW’s in NSW alone . They are ocean travelers and have been recorded here in WA . !
Creatures of habit they return to an area again after they get a feed and blood 🩸 taste .

October 23, 2011: A 32-year-old American diver was fatally attacked by a great white shark 500 mtrs off Rottnest Island. This was a 3mtr GW and recovering the body the GW swam after the boat to the island !!!
Doesn’t anyone have ANY COMMON SENSE and can see that they allow a GW that’s killed a human to swim free is dangerous to our community . ?

I’m just sickened by this lack of any awareness and empathy for the families , witnesses and first responders . 🤬

Everyone who takes any sort of tinnie , boat , launch or large vessel HAS TO RESPECT the ocean . It’s an unforgiving Mother : My deapest condolences to their families and friends .
They went out to help someone that shouldn’t have left the harbour .
Always raise your voice if you see ANYONE attempting to go out in big swell or wind . 🙏😢

7 years have gone by and the Labor Government’s shark mitigation policy is gone more extreme green .
Those people on the sign are not forgotten by me or their families .
Life throws some curve balls that can’t be explained easily .
Well I’m back and I intend to help those families and many others to get some changes happening .
As the SW SAFE SHARK GROUP fb page says .
“ We are a community based group trying to change policy and procedures to make our beautiful coastline safer “

From the front of Parliament House, I was blown away by the signs . The kids had some of the best & will post some over the coming weeks . Privileged to address everyone ; this one is what it’s all about , zoom in on the sign !
