This time Celebrate Palestine South West warmly welcomes you to a screening of Where Olive Trees Weep - a heartbreaking, award-winning, cinematic 2024 documentary on life in the West Bank under brutal Israeli occupation.

Our film nights foster inspiring conversation and meaningful connection. This night promises to be no different.

This week the Wednesday Walk for Palestine returns to its usual time.

Join us to show solidarity with Palestinians who continue to endure an active Israeli military assault despite the so-called ceasefire. Over 600 Palestinians, including children, have been killed and many more gravely wounded since the truce was announced last October. The bombs have not stopped and Palestinians are still being detained and tortured in Israeli prisons. Illegal settlers, protected by a brutal apartheid regime, are escalating their violent seizure of Palestinian land.

Every day brings more lives lost, more families shattered, more carnage, more erasure. We will never accept this as normal.

Join us every Wednesday at 4:00pm, Reuther Park, Wooditchup (Margaret River).

Today the people of Woodijup came together, in solidarity, on stolen land, for our 100th Weekly Walk for Palestine.

Our walk coincided with the unified nationwide action against Herzog’s hate that took place in cities and towns across the country this afternoon. Together we cried, loud and clear, that Herzog is not welcome here.

Our 100th Walk is not a milestone we celebrate but it’s certainly one we should acknowledge - a remarkably sustained commitment and a heartening display of genuine social cohesion.

For all those who’ve walked with us, and supported us, over the last two years: a heartfelt thank you. We are grateful to live in such an empathic community that is so overwhelmingly supportive of the fight for Palestinian liberation.

Our regular Wednesday Walk will return next week - 4pm at Reuther Park.

Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Hundreds of thousands of people across so called “Australia” are rising up this coming Monday, from small regional towns to major cities demanding our country sanctions and cuts diplomatic and trade ties with Israel to punish them for their genocidal actions.

In 2025, similar continent wide marches here garnered attention for the historic protest movement demanding peace, freedom and justice for the Palestinian people.

In spite of these mass peaceful mobilisations by the Australian people, our government has continued arming Israel with weapons used to enact its campaigns of genocide and ethnic cleansing. The tone deaf and deeply complicit politicians here have now shamefully invited the Israeli president overseeing these war crimes under the guise of community healing.

If President Herzog steps on our shores, he should be met with the cold steel of handcuffs instead of a warm embrace.

And so, again we march.

There are events all across the continent, wherever you are. The people powered movement will win, we are on the right side of history.

Exciting news for everyone attending our rally on the 9th!
Local legend and amazing musician, Lemon Myrtle has offered to play some tunes both before and after the rally.
If you’ve never seen Lemon perform before, you’re in for a treat. Her soulful indie folk will transform your rage and helplessness into hope and action.

If you want to see this performance, as part of a historic protest movement make sure to head down to Reuther Park at 4pm on Monday the 9th

On Monday 9 February, Celebrate Palestine South West will be marking our 100th Weekly Walk for Palestine as we join a nationwide call to action and take to the streets in vehement opposition to the Australian visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

Herzog is not a neutral figure and should not be welcomed here. He represents a regime responsible for the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. He has been photographed signing bombs destined to take Palestinian lives, and has explicitly justified mass murder of innocent people. In his own words:

“It’s an entire nation out there that is responsible. It’s not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved. It’s absolutely not true.” (2023)

Herzog should not be allowed to bring his racist hate speech to this country. That our government welcomes Israel’s head of state is shameful and unacceptable.

The genocide continues as Gaza is still under assault. Palestinians face ongoing bombings, displacement and incarceration. We urge everyone to keep talking about Gaza and Palestine. We refuse to be silent and we refuse to be complicit.

We invite you to bring your flags and placards, and join us as we again stand in solidarity with Palestine in a united nationwide mass protest on 9 February.

Please note that our usual Wednesday Walk for Palestine will not take place this week, or next, as we reschedule to participate in this nationwide action on Monday.

We come together in solidarity, against oppression, on stolen land.

Free Palestine.

We march again this week, following Invasion Day on the lands of stolen Wardandi Noongar boodja ✊🏽

We join First Nations calls for justice and stand in solidarity with their ongoing resistance. The struggles of First Nations peoples and Palestinians are inseparable, bound by shared histories and ongoing experiences of displacement, violence, cultural destruction, and resistance to colonial power.

This week, we march for the freedom of Palestinians and in rejection of colonialism and the oppression of Indigenous peoples worldwide. January 26 is not a date to celebrate. It is a reminder of invasion, dispossession, and violence. The same settler colonial logic that destroyed this land and people continues in the stolen lands of Palestine.

We oppose brutal, racist regimes that seek to silence and slaughter lives they refuse to value as equal, driven by selfish interests, immoral beliefs, and prejudice.

Colonisation is ongoing.
No justice without truth.
No peace without liberation.
No freedom until all are free.

Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
Free Palestine!

Last week marked the return of the Wednesday Walk for Palestine at Reuther Park in Margaret River after a month-long break. Twenty passionate, peace-loving individuals of all ages gathered to eat watermelon in the sunshine and express our deep gratitude, love, and solidarity for dedicated Palestine advocate Randa Abdel-Fattah.

Join us again this Wednesday for our 98th week in Reuther Park. This week, we invite you to raise your voice in solidarity for Palestine, specifically to participate in the nationwide protest against Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s impending visit to Australia.

As always, we’ll meet on Wednesday at 4pm in Reuther Park at the top of the main street. See you there!

We're taking a short break. A big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year, whether that be through joining us on our weekly walk and marches, helping organise events, giving us supportive honks along main street or sending through encouraging words on this platform.

We commit to continuing to organise alongside other groups and individuals across the world who are pushing back on the Zionist lobbyists who are attempting to silence Palestinian voices and genuine criticism of Israel's genocidal actions.

DM or email us if you'd like to join CPSW in 2026 as we continue to advocate for Palestinian freedom and self-determination.

We do not welcome anyone harbouring views of racism, antisemitism or Islamophobia.

No one is free until Palestine is free ❤️‍🔥
