It was a stunning afternoon at the Days For Girls Gala in Sydney!
I won a beautiful quilled Halloween inspired in the raffle. Jessica Rowe an inspiring speaker and the best was the catchups with Days for Girls friends. Thank you to everyone involved. 🧡🧡 looking forward to seeing all our days for Girls Mareeba Daisies this coming Sat 6th June at our usual hangout 😘🧡🧡🧡

DFG’s today was incredible, we had the best team of ladies united in making a difference! We packed today and the team work was sensational! Too busy to count the numbers but 5 bags worth usually 30-40 in each… so conservatively 150. We also rolled un**es and washers, there was sewing, threading, folding stacking and so many other jobs like cutting ribbon.

Out and about selling Mothers Day Raffle tickets at The Mareeba Leagues Club. The raffle is drawn tomorrow at our sewing event around 10am. FB message us if you’d like to buy tickets. See you tomorrow from 9-2 at Mareeba State High School Library.

Thank you Atherton Rotary Club North Queensland Australia for the opportunity to share Days for Girls Mareeba with you and help to pack 20 kits. A wonderful evening 🧡 we have our event on Sat 2nd May and we are drawing our Mothers Day raffle. 🧡

🧡🧡We have a Mother’s Day Raffle drawn on May 2nd.🧡🧡 Tickets $2.
1st Prize- quilted double bed spread sewn with love by Donna and Rita using our DFG material offcuts, valued at $250.
2nd Prize- $50 fuel voucher donated by Mayor Angela Toppin.
Tickets are on sale tonight at the Mareeba Leagues Club and then by members of our team or via messenger to direct purchase.
All proceeds to DFG’s Mareeba to continue our work making kits. Thanks in advance for your support.🧡🧡

🧡🧡Our August sewing day was amazing!! Many volunteers today, making lots of kit components 🧡🧡

No packing today but we have met up with Andy to give him 400 kits on their way to PNG. Also included in the bags were over 35 baby blankets made by the Sewing with Judy group, Donna and Rita with cloth bags made by Maureen for distribution to mothers in PNG.
We can’t do this wonderful work without the support of every volunteer along with those who financially donate to our group. Thank you for taking action and contributing to making our world a better place 🧡🧡🧡🧡
