What a fantastic night at the Mareeba Leagues Club, showcasing the talent, knowledge and confidence of our local students!

Seven students from St Thomas of Villanova – Mareeba, Biboorah State School, Mount Molloy State School and St Anthony’s School – Dimbulah took to the stage to present speeches on topics of their choice.

🏆 Congratulations to our winner, Sylvie King from St Thomas of Villanova – Mareeba!

👏 The Encouragement Award, proudly sponsored by Mayor and Rotarian Angela Toppin, went to Jay Edmondson from Biboorah State School.

A huge thank you to all the students, their parents and schools for their support.

Special thanks to our judicators, Mrs Fay McGrath and Mr Carlo Veschetti, for giving their time, and to our wonderful MC, Mr Craig Batchelor, for making the students feel at ease.

🌟 An inspiring evening celebrating the next generation of confident speakers. Well done to everyone involved!
