Mareeba Rotary is proud to be involved with the Rotary FNQ Field Days, one of our region’s signature events. Pictured are Rotarians Bronwyn from Atherton Rotary and Nina from Mareeba Rotary alongside the portable lighting towers purchased by the Field Days.
These lights are not just for the Field Days — they have been used at many local community events when needed. It is one practical way Rotary helps make great things happen across our region.

MAKING COMMUNITY SPACES BETTER 🫶

Today Mareeba Rotarians came together at Rotary Park to install new seats and benches for the community 💛

They removed the old, drilled, cleaned and assembled the new tables and benches 🙌

They were ready just in time for the first visitors to enjoy the new space 🌟 🌳

Rotary Mareeba would like to say a huge congratulations to our own Dr Marg Purcell and Julie Wells who participated in the Australian Rotary Health guided charity walk at Jatbula Trail Northern Territory Challenge for Mental Health Research, which took place from August 8 to August 14. Raising vital funds and awareness for mental health research programs via Australian Rotary Health.

The walk consisted of the historic 62km Jatbula Trail through Katherine Gorge, Nitmiluk National Park. It is a physically challenging gruelling 6-day, fully guided 62km trek which involves carrying a 15kg pack through the remote wilderness country from Nitmiluk Gorge to Edith Falls in Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge and Arnhem Land Escarpment, NT), visiting places very few people are able to see.
