Shoalhaven City Council reviews Community Consultative Bodies (CCBs) model

Hello everyone
During March, Council will be meeting with the 23 CCBs across the Shoalhaven about a replacement community engagement model for the current model which will cease to exist from 1 July this year. The RHVA is a CCB, that is we are the community forum which represents issues and concerns for the communities of Cunjurong Point, Bendalong, North Bendalong, Berringer Lake, Manyana and the Nerringillah Valley.

Discussion took place at our general meeting on the 21st February which was attended by Mayor Patricia White and Ward 3 Councillors Gillian Boyd and Debbie Killian. The Councillors and Mayor addressed the meeting with their views about what model should replace the current one.

Along with the other CCBs RHVA will participate in a consultation meeting with Council this month. We extend an invitation to those community members who wish to let us know their views on how the CCBs should continue to represent the views of local communities before Council. There are 2 discussion papers/proposals on the RHVA website which you are welcome to read. One is the combined CCB’s preferred model and the other is the Council discussion paper. Here is the link -https://redheadvillagesassociation.org/correspondence-in/

If you wish to let us know your views please email us at [email protected] by the 20th of March.

Warm regards
The Committee of the RHVA Inc.
