📚✨ LAST WEEK WAS BOOK WEEK FUN WITH PCYC CAIRNS! ✨📚

Our Club & Culture kids got into the Book Week spirit with a fantastic afternoon of reading-inspired activities! 💙

The young people enjoyed word searches, creating their own colourful bookmarks and completing fun colouring story sheets. It was a great opportunity to get creative, build literacy skills and enjoy some positive time together.

Activities like these help our young people learn, create, build confidence and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.

📖🎨 A big shout-out to our amazing Club & Culture kids for making Book Week so much fun!

Learning, creativity and community — all in one afternoon! 🌟

Dear members,

We would like to provide you with an update on the progress of the renovation works currently underway within the Club.

Stage 1 – Nearly Complete

We are pleased to advise that Stage 1 is nearing completion. As part of this stage:

The Office and Reception will be relocated to their new space during the week of 7–11 September.
The Functional Fitness Room and Gym bathrooms are expected to be finalised by the end of September.
Please be patient with our team during the week of the Reception and Office move. There may be some temporary disruption as we transition these areas and get the new space fully operational.

Stage 2 – Commencing 14 September

Stage 2 works will commence on Monday 14 September. This stage will involve further demolition and construction works, which means members should expect increased noise and activity around the Club.

As the project progresses, hoarding will continue to be installed and removed around different areas of the Club as works commence, progress and are completed. This will mean that access and the appearance of certain areas may change from time to time.

We appreciate that renovation works can be disruptive, and we sincerely thank all members for your patience, understanding and cooperation while we work through this exciting transformation.

Our team is doing everything possible to keep disruption to a minimum while ensuring the project continues safely and efficiently.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work towards delivering improved facilities for all our members.

🌟 **What a fantastic week that was at PCYC Cairns!** 🌟

Our Club & Culture, After Dark, RUBY and other youth programs were full of fun, connection and positive energy!

From making pizzas at Manoora Community Centre, to dodgeball and fried rice at Woree State School, basketball, games and our Pizza Awards thanks to Domino’s — our young people were busy **learning, connecting and having fun**. 🍕🏀

These programs are about so much more than activities. They create safe spaces where young people can build confidence, develop teamwork and resilience, make friendships and feel a sense of belonging in their community.

It was fantastic to see our young people so engaged, encouraging each other and giving new things a go.

💙 **Building stronger young people. Building stronger communities.**
