Sundays low and mid power launch cancelled.

The wind forecast for Sunday is not good with strong winds predicted. The CRG committee has made the hard decision to cancel the launch.

Our next low and mid power launch will be on Sunday 4th October.

Canberra Rocketry Group will hold their Low and Mid Power launch at our Manton launch site on Sunday 2nd August, weather permitting.
At the moment the weather looks like it will be fine for a launch but cold so rug up if you are attending.
Set up will commence at 9:00am with launching from 9:30am.
The launch will conclude at 1:00pm

Ardlethan High Power Launch cancelled.
Unfortunately the weather has turned against us and we have to cancel the planned high power launch at our Ardlethan site this weekend (13th & 14th June).
It was a very difficult decision to make but in the interests of safe launching, it had to be made.

It looks like the weather gods have finally smiled on us and we are good to go for our low and mid power launch on Sunday 7th June at our Manton Road launch site.
Set up will commence at 9am with launching starting after 9:30.
The launch will conclude at 1:00pm

Those of us who have extensively (and almost exclusively) used Cesaroni (CTI) motors in the past have just got some good news from Endeavour Aerospace.

Endeavour Aerospace has announced that, after originally placing the order back in December 2023, a large shipment of Cesaroni products is finally expected to arrive in late June / early July this year.

To celebrate the news, Endeavour is running a 5% off sale across all Cesaroni products ordered before May 15th. As this shipment took nearly three years to arrive, any products that sell out will take a significant amount of time to restock.

For interested members, motors from this shipment will be delivered to the August 22nd Ardlethan launch. A page detailing everything you need to know about the shipment can be found on the Endeavour Aerospace website at the link below.

Canberra Rocketry May 3rd low and mid power launch cancelled.

Well, the weather gods are definitely not smiling on us this year. The paddocks are still very dry and in need of rain - so dry as to make it not possible to launch unless we get rain.

Unfortunately, that rain is forecast for Sunday, our launch day. The current forecast is for up to 20mm of rain and high winds on Sunday. We are in a bit of a pickle as it is too dry to hold a launch if it does not rain as forecast, but it if does rain as forecast, will will be too wet and windy to hold the launch.

Given this, the committee has made the difficult decision to cancel our May launch.

April low and mid power launch cancelled.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our low and mid power launch scheduled for Sunday 5th April. The grass at the launch site is still too long and dry to safely hold a launch given that the winds are forecast to be 15-20 kmh.

In the interests of participant safety and for the safety of the landholder and neighbouring properties, we have made the hard decision to cancel the launch.

Our next low and mid power launch is scheduled for Sunday 3rd May.
