To everyone who participated in the Anzac Day march which was followed by the main service a heartfelt thank you from all of us at the Mansfield RSL. Your support means so much to those who march in memory of loved ones, those who served and still serve in our defence forces. So many people to thank who donated time to be part of our special commemoration. Thank you for the loan of the Jeeps from the Yencken family and to Monica Sketcher who performed the Last Post at the Dawn and main services. She also did an amazing job of conducting the MAD orchestra and the choir.

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out for the Anzac Day Dawn Service in Mansfield Also our gratitude to those who officiated in the formal proceedings to make it a moving reflection. The CFA did a wonderful job of putting on the traditional gunfire breakfast afterwards and thanks to Foodworks for their contribution.

The Australian Government has accepted a generous offer from the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Jose Ramos-Horta, to expand the eligibility criteria of the Timor-Leste Solidarity Medal.

Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and veterans, and Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers who served at least 30 days on mandated missions in Timor-Leste since 1999 will now be eligible. This includes those withdrawn due to injury or medical necessity and uniformed members of the Defence Cooperation Program and Timor-Leste Police Development Program.

ANZAC Day services in Mansfield township - Saturday April 25, 2026.
6am sharp - Dawn Service at Mansfield Memorial Gates, Highett St.
All are invited to a Gunfire Breakfast afterwards at the Mansfield CFA Station. Gold coin donation.
The March - 9.45am. Please assemble 10 minutes earlier outside CFA (not RSL Hall) in Highett St to be ready to step off for main service at 10am at the Mansfield Memorial Gates. An open invitation is extended to all attendees to join our RSL members and veterans afterwards at the RSL Hall across the road for refreshments
