Today, on World Mangrove Day, we celebrate one of nature's most remarkable ecosystems right on our doorstep.

Mangroves do so much more than meet the eye. They provide vital habitat for fish, crabs and birdlife, protect our shoreline from erosion, improve water quality and store significant amounts of carbon, helping to combat climate change.

The Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk offers a unique opportunity to experience this amazing ecosystem up close. Whether you're taking a peaceful walk, enjoying the birdlife or introducing children to the wonders of nature, it's a reminder of just how special Moreton Bay is.

This World Mangrove Day, let's celebrate, protect and appreciate the mangroves that make our bayside such a beautiful and resilient place for generations to come.

💚 Happy World Mangrove Day!
