Hey hey Capestoners!

This Saturday is QLD Day and we’d love to see you lakeside in your best QLD colours 😊

After telling boss man Brad on Sat that I don’t own any maroon because I’m from Melb, I’ve realised that my puffer jacket is in fact MAROON! And after the cold start to this morning, methinks I might be needing it on Sat 😬

And I am VERY happy to advise we have a full vollie roster for this week! Sensational! Kudos to the crew from MBRR for their takeover of this week’s roster 🥰

BUT, if you’d like to be involved in the coming weeks, please check out the volunteer roster at the link in the comments. We’d love to see you 😊

RD Andrea.

This morning was a bit cooler but great conditions for a PB. It was wonderful to see so many of you this morning. We had some EA and RA visitors this morning and a big thanks for choosing Capestone Lake parkrun. Nicola is a Photograph Ambassador for parkrun Australia and took some great photos this morning! Look out for those.

Next Saturday is QLD Day and we're joining in by wearing maroon on the day! Bring your best maroon attire next Saturday. RD Andrea is up next! Roster looks great for next week. Please consider checking out the roster to see if you can help out in following weeks.

Thanks you volunteers, you make the RD teams' life easier when we do not need to beg for volunteers. Since January we've had such a great turnount of volunteers and we'd love you to keep the good karma flowing! There is always room on the roster, especially in future weeks where we only have a couple of volunteers so far. What a great morning it was for parkrun at the lake! A big shout-out to 4 of our "first time" volunteers today who did amazing! The start seemed to be a lot smoother with the concrete done by council this week as well as each of the loops. The roster is looking quite dreary next week, so if you're interested in volunteering, please check the roster for the following weeks and let us know if you'd like to join the team! It's a fun morning!

We’re so blessed at Capestone Lake. After the first week of the new course we raised a concern with council and they were amazing and helped make the path safer with the removal of a small section of bush. They knocked it over in a morning and it’s open for use tomorrow! This should have a big effect on the start as well as every time you do a lap! See you all in the morning for 5k around the lake!
