MANDURAH LOOK WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE! 💛

Boot Scootin' Bingo raised an incredible $4,856 to help local kids experiencing hunger.

That's enough to provide 243 Backpack Buddies food packs, helping children get through the weekend when breakfast clubs are not there to provide support.

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, had a crack at the Beer Wall, grabbed some merchandise, bought raffle tickets, donated, sponsored the event or simply came along and had a great night.

Your support will help provide:

🍝 729 dinners
🥣 486 breakfasts
🥪 486 lunches
🍎 486 snack packs

With more than 200 children currently waiting for support through our Backpack Buddies program, every dollar raised makes a real difference.

Celebrating an Amazing Young Leader!

We are so proud of our Junior Board member, Mia, who has raised an incredible $2,400 for Backpack Buddies, enough to provide weekend food support for three children for an entire year! That's over 1,000 meals 🫶.

What makes this even more special is that Mia is following in her brother's footsteps, continuing a family tradition of giving back and making a difference in our community. We have loved watching both of them grow as young leaders, and we are so grateful to have them as part of our Junior Board.

Mia, your compassion, determination, and commitment to helping others is truly inspiring. Thank you for using your time and talents to support children doing it tough. You should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

Well done to Year 6 student, Mia, who recently did such an amazing job fundraising for Bridge Builders, particularly for their backpack buddies program. Mia raised $2400, which will feed three children in need for an entire year through the backpack buddies program! This is an incredible achievement, your heart for the community is inspiring. FOOD DONATIONS THROUGHOUT JUNE! 🌟

This June, Lakelands Shopping Centre and Bridge Builders are teaming up to support local children through our Backpack Buddies Program.

🛒 While you're doing your weekly shop at Coles and Aldi, why not add an extra item or two to your trolley and help make a difference?

We are collecting non-perishable lunchbox and pantry staples such as:
✅ Muesli bars
✅ Tiny Teddies or rice crackers
✅ Individual popcorn bags
✅ Canned fruit or tuna
✅ Long-life milk
✅ Cereal and oats
✅ Pasta and rice
✅ School-friendly snacks

📍 Drop your donations into the green Backpack Buddies Donation Box located in front of Coles at Lakelands Shopping Centre.

Every donation helps provide much-needed lunch and weekend snacks for local children experiencing food insecurity.

💚 Together, we can ensure children in our community have access to nutritious food when school is out.

Rain? What rain?!

Saturday night proved that a little wild weather wasn't going to stop a room full of country-loving legends from having a great time and supporting a great cause.

From line dancing and laughter to the Beer Wall, raffles, bingo, limited-edition stubby holders and some seriously impressive western outfits, Boot Scootin' Bingo was packed with fun from start to finish.

Most importantly, every ticket purchased, raffle ticket bought, 6 Pack chosen and piece of merchandise sold will help support local families doing it tough through our food relief programs.

A huge thank you to Dudley Park Bowling & Recreation Club, our sponsors, donors, volunteers and Trish Foster from Just Dancin' Linedancers for getting everyone on their feet and showing us the ropes.

We're still counting the dollars raised and sorting through all the photos, so stay tuned for the final tally!

National Volunteer Week 💛

Our volunteers mean so much to us at Bridge Builders, and honestly, we would not be able to operate successfully without their incredible support.

Behind the scenes, our volunteers work tirelessly every single week, packing Backpack Buddies bags, collecting food orders, creating hampers, pre-packaging stock, supporting clients, and helping wherever needed. No matter the task, they step up with kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help others without complaint.

Bridge Builders would not be the organisation it is today without the dedication and support of our volunteers. They understand how important it is to help another family or person in need, but they may not always realise just how important they are in making that happen.

Every hamper packed, every backpack prepared, every shelf stocked, and every smile shared helps bring hope, dignity, and support to someone doing it tough in our community.

To all of our volunteers, thank you. Thank you for your time, your kindness, your hard work, and the heart you bring to everything you do. You truly are the heart of Bridge Builders, and we appreciate each and every one of you more than words can say. 💐✨

National Volunteer Week💛

Every single week our Backpack Buddies Volunteer Crew work tirelessly to organise stock, pack over 100 backpacks with food and essentials, deliver the bags to schools, and collect them back empty and ready to go again the following week.

Their dedication, care, and commitment help ensure children in our community have food support over the weekends and know that someone cares about them.

Our kids are the future, and these volunteers are helping make sure no child feels forgotten. They may not wear capes, but they are making a life-changing difference for so many families and children doing it tough.

The time, energy, and love poured into Backpack Buddies each week does not go unnoticed. Without these incredible volunteers, this program simply would not be possible.

To our Backpack Buddies team, thank you for being the hands and hearts behind this program and for helping bring hope, dignity, and support to local children every week. 💐✨
