It's looking unlikely that we'll be riding at all during the next week or so.

We have a duty of care to our passengers, and to our volunteers.

32 degrees is our cut-off point, beyond that it's uncomfortable on the trishaws.

The donations keep on rolling in, we are so very grateful.

The total of donations and grants we have received has now ticked over $50,000. Yes, you read that right - fifty thousand dollars! In just a few months.

Such a generous community we live in. A very big thank you for two recent large donations from Mandurah Murray Mayday Inc and Avivo: live life

The fact that the community has gotten behind us shows that this is an idea whose time has come for Mandurah.

More rides for more people more often.

We've now paid for two trishaws which will both be arriving in the next month or so. We anticipate we'll be getting busier, so don't miss out - you can book your free ride by emailing

Great morning down at Osprey Waters this morning, unfortunately we had to call it off at 11 when the temperature nudged 33 degrees 😕

Before we abandoned the rides there was plenty of action though. Matthew, Lorraine, Hamid and Paul got to see ospreys, swans and dolphins along the estuary edge.

We'll be back again on Wednesday morning between 9 and noon.

Don't miss out - book your free ride now by emailing [email protected]

Welcome to our two newest pilots, Jacqui and Sue. Both very capable and smooth riders. Once the paperwork is through in a few days you'll be seeing them both pedalling trishaws around Mandurah.

Count the smiles! 😄

Our fabulous team of volunteers help to bring smiles to the faces of so many in Mandurah.

Our team have given 248 people rides so far this year, at five locations.

We welcomed four new pilots to the team in January, making it nine qualified pilots now, with twelve more currently in training, or soon to commence training.

Many more smiles to come 😄

Some wonderful news just in…

We can now announce that we have TWO new trishaws coming to Mandurah.

Rotary Club Mandurah Districts are generously funding another trishaw for the Mandurah community.

So soon you’ll be seeing TWO shiny new Cycling Without Age trishaws riding around Mandurah.

More rides more often for more people.

Two new pilots passed their tests this afternoon. Chris and Marco will both be very good pilots. Both very calm and smooth riders. Just waiting on the paperwork to go through now.

Welcome to the team gentlemen.

For those who may think there are too many male pilots, stay tuned, we have four really good women in training who'll all be tremendous.

That's January done for us. Already.
Here are some numbers for the first month of 2023:

15 - the number of days we rode
9 - the number of individual volunteers at January rides
27 - how many volunteer shifts were ridden
159 - the number of January passengers
5 - the number of routes we ride around waterways
2 - the number of abandoned rides (one storm, one heat)

Will any of these numbers feature in our upcoming quiz night? We couldn't possibly say. The only way to know is come to the quiz night. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/cycling-without-age-mandurahs-massive-quiz-night-tickets-465486672167

This month our exceptional team of volunteers made it possible for 159 people to be pedalled around Mandurah's beautiful waterways. And feel the breeze in their hair.
