Malmsbury Town Hall

Malmsbury Town Hall A charming community run town hall suitable for hire for large or small functions - inquire now!

The historic township of Malmsbury (Victoria, Australia) grew from a travellers' stop, on the banks of the Coliban River, on the road from Melbourne to the Mount Alexander Goldfields (Castlemaine District) in the 1850s. Eventually Malmsbury became a gold town itself, but it is also famous for its blue-stone rock which has been used to construct many a historic building. The Town Hall is partially

constructed with blue-stone and has served as heart for the town for many years hosting myriad events from weddings, to parties, to school productions, music events, flea markets and more! The hall is now managed and maintained by a committee of locals with support from our local council. Most recent renovations include installation of a commercial kitchen in 2016, and acoustic paneling in the main hall in 2015. Next is restoration of the "supper room" and restoration of the original facade, which was dismantled during WWII.
