It’s planting season for Murnong! (Yam Daisy). We had a great harvest with lots of seed saving this year so get yourself to our shop pronto!

🌱🌱March to May best for planting these happy little perennials. Drought tolerant, they thrive in dry, sunny or shady areas. Good for your garden and your belly- let us know how you like to eat the tasty tubers 🤔

News from the farm! 🚜Everything’s looking pretty lush in the fields right now and we’re feeling ever so grateful.

The dancing grass will be ready to harvest soon. We’re also keeping a close eye on a few acacia species such as the black wattle (pictured), PLUS kangaroo and spear grass flour will soon be available in our shop. 😎It’s looking like it will be a great harvest this year. Watch this space!!

🕺🏿Woohoo! Black Duck Foods has just completed a fantastic harvest of Kangaroo Grass. Many thanks to the East Gippsland Shire who gave us access to the Mallacoota airport. A great crop.

Kangaroo Grass grows best when not competing with pasture grasses and the application of superphosphate. Look forward to some special flour in the new year. 🙌🏽
