I am humbled and grateful to receive the QAS Commissioner's Award - Volunteer of the Year today.

Being the President of the Maleny Local Ambulance Committee (LAC) is something I’m really proud of. It’s about supporting my LAC Members, our local community people and QAS Paramedics.

At the end of the day, if something we as an LAC has done which helps a QAS crew or makes even one person in our community feel a little safer or better supported, then every minute of volunteering is worth it.
