Dandelions WA

Dandelions WA Our aim is simple: "spreading kindness - growing hope" in our beautiful Western Australia, 365 days of the year across all genders and ages.
(1)

The seeds of Dandelions WA were sown, like lots of ideas, over a coffee between friends. We recognised a need in this enormous, beautiful state of ours and we knew we could help all year round. Our objective is simple, as a registered charity we look for ways of assisting anyone impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, poverty, drought, fire and/or financial hardship. We welcome you to join us in "Spreading Kindness - Growing Hope".

Are you planning to visit Bunnings today?
If so, head down to the new Mirrabooka store on Alexander Drive and enjoy a delicious sausage sizzle prepared by the volunteers from Dandelions WA.
We’re fundraising today to help purchase urgently needed hygiene products for children in Western Australia who do not have access to the essentials they need to attend school with dignity and confidence.
Every “Sausage” sold will make a difference.
See you there — our volunteers are ready and looking forward to meeting you!

We had a morning filled with kindness and caring at the Kubby on Saturday. So many generouse supporters dropping off toiletries, clothing for bubs and toddlers, nappues towels, blankets and beautiful handmade items. Thank you to everybody for your support.
The last visitor for the morning was the very special Lexy who has recentley won Miss Galaxy Australia and is now heading to the Bahamas for the International competition.
Lexy has been busy collecting soap for disadvantaged kids with her "Raise The Bar" campaign. A fabulous donation of 400 bars of soap. What an amazing young lady 🩵.

💙💙National Volunteer Week💙💙
Not all volunteers for Dandelions WA are seen, and many choose to work quietly behind the scenes. You won’t find them at the Kindness Kubby, and you won’t often see them on social media, but they are always there, generously giving their time and skills in the background.
A special shout out to the incredible women of the Dandelions WA "Library Bag Army". From their sewing machines, they steadily create library bags for the Dandelions WA Back to School campaign, helping ensure every child has the opportunity to take a book home from their school library.
Today, during National Volunteer Week, we pause to sincerely thank these remarkable women for their ongoing contribution to Dandelions WA and the children we support.
Your dedication is quiet but powerful. Your kindness is stitched into every bag you make. Your generosity helps open doors to learning for disadvantaged children.
We are deeply grateful for all that you do. You are an important and valued part of the Dandelions WA team, and you are appreciated more than words can easily express, today and always.

🌟Should you wish to become part of this volunteering team, please send us a email to [email protected] and we will send you a pattern.

🌼 Happy National Volunteer Week from Dandelions WA 🌼
Happy National Volunteer Week to all of our incredible Dandelions WA volunteers!
Without their dedication, time, and compassion for others, there would be no Dandelions WA, and no support for disadvantaged families and children across Western Australia, including our Back-to-School campaign.
Our volunteers are truly treasured. They create such a beautiful, caring, and safe space at the Kubby for fellow volunteers, the public, and visiting agencies. Their kindness and warmth are felt by everyone who walks through our doors.
We are endlessly grateful for their generous and compassionate hearts. They give so much of themselves to others, and it does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for being you, and for being so absolutely fabulous, "You Are The Best". 💛
We love and appreciate you all. 🌼

Please help thank and celebrate our amazing volunteers by leaving them a 💙 in the comments.

HYGIENE KITS FOR DISADVANTAGED KIDS.
What an amazing way to encourage our youth to support their peers less fortunate than them. Thank you Whitford Junior Football Club (WJFC).
Are your children part of a sporting or community group maybe they could run a campaign to support disadvantaged kids with hygiene kits.
The challenge is on, Whitfords Junior Football Club are aiming for 1000 kits.
If you are interested, send us a message and we can give you a call to discuss.

Thank you to Volunteering WA and the team from Woodside Energy who attended at Dandelions WA yesterday. From the moment they walked through the door they rolled their sleeves up and helped us sort through a large donation of clothing. Lots of sorting and folding completed, we then had a great afternoon together making Kindness Kits for disadvantaged kids.
Thank you team for a fabulous day at the Kindness Kubby.

We were incredibly grateful to welcome Elizabeth Perron and Suzanne Sweeney from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation to Dandelions WA on Tuesday, 21 April 2026 💛
We are so thankful to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation for their generous commitment to supporting our “Back to School” campaign over three years. With a shared passion for helping disadvantaged children, our two organisations truly align in purpose and heart.
During their visit, Elizabeth and Suzanne rolled up their sleeves and joined us in creating Mum & Bub Bags and children’s Kindness Kits—an important part of the support Dandelions WA provides to the WA community throughout the year. It was wonderful to have them experience firsthand the impact of this work.
Both ladies were not only incredibly hands-on, but also deeply understanding of the challenges local charities are facing in today’s socio-economic climate.
Thank you again, Elizabeth, Suzanne, and the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, for your ongoing support and belief in what we do. 🌼
