Today we had a walk down memory lane. We spent a wonderful afternoon, we are very grateful to Tony & Trudy who kindly opened their home and allowed us to hold our meeting in what was the old CWA meeting room, (from 1936 until it was sold in 1997).
After our meeting we enjoyed hearing about the history of the building, the adjoined bakery & the people, from Brian McDonald.
Everyone got into the spirit of fun & dressed up!
Afternoon celebrations included an award of 20 years long service badge to our President Marjorie Lemin 👏 - Marjorie became a member of the Majors Creek Branch shortly after coming to Majors Creek and in 2004 she became the President and in the following years she has graciously taken on roles of President and Secretary. Marjorie is a dedicated member of the branch, always willing & available to help in anyway. Congratulations Marjorie you are a generous kind friend to us all.
Local CWA memorabilia was displayed to reminisce and we finished with a truly scrumptious afternoon tea.
An afternoon to fondly remember.

Yesterday we celebrated Linda Harrison’s life, a long time member of our branch a wise kind friend, mentor & our appointed matriarch. Linda’s memory will echo long after.
She will be missed.

Today six members of Majors Creek CWA, attended the CWA Southern Tablelands Group (STG) AGM, as well as celebrating STG 100 Years. Helen won 3rd prize in the raffle. 🎉🎂👏
