Only 2 days to go until our Iftar Full of Promise! ✨🌙

A message from Mother Mahboba:

This Ramadan, please join us for my community fundraising dinner, as we invest in the lives of orphans who are an amanah for our community.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 to build a new girls orphanage in Badakhshan, support our ongoing care of widows and orphans in Afghanistan, and the orphans evacuated to Australia in 2021.

The evening will feature:

✨ Inspiring talks from Ustadha Aisha Meguid and Ustadha Sahar Dandan
🎤 Live auction led by Mohammed Sabsabi with rare, one-of-a-kind items
🛍️ Community stalls showcasing local initiatives
📖 Orphans sharing their stories and experiences

Planting New Roots 🌿
A slow, reflective afternoon of gardening, writing, and tending to both soil and the self 💆🏽‍♀️

Join us for a hands on workshop exploring how to grow a ‘Gardener’s Mindset’ while caring for living things. Together, we’ll pot our own plants using donated cuttings and pots, learn about soil, growth, and plant care, and reflect on what it means to nurture ourselves with the same attention— what does it truly mean to live life with ‘barakah’ and how can we invite this into our current seasons.

Alongside planting, we’ll take time to write, reflect, and gently prepare our hearts as Ramadan draws closer. We’ll also share reminders around charity, care for our community, and the quiet power of giving.

For the past 30 years, she has devoted her life to investing in Afghanistan’s orphans, supporting them through every stage, from early vulnerability to further education, and helping them develop the skills they need to earn an income and build a future. 💛
