Mac MastersBeach & District Progress Association Inc.

Mac MastersBeach & District Progress Association Inc. MacMasters Beach Progress Association Inc. is a community organisation for the local community and surrounding areas.

The more members we have, the stronger our voice at Council and State Government. To join, go to our web page, download the form, complete it and send it to us with $5 membership fee. Membership is $5 per person and helps to cover the costs of the Newsletter being distributed to ALL property owners and residents. Our new web
site is operational and will be added to gradually over the coming year.

Our data base is unfortunately shrinking as we have no access to new owner’s information. If you are aware of any new neighbours, it would be great if you could forward them our details so they can contact us and be sent our newsletter by email or post or hand delivered. Click on the link below to obtain a Membership Form. We hope you will consider registering your EMAIL address with us. Not only will we save on $$$ in postage, it will reduce the volunteer hours needed to fold & tape the newsletter. We currently have 250+ on email and still print & post over 300 every time it is produced. You do not have to be a member to receive the newsletter. We have always tried to maintain this community service by communicating with the whole community, not just members. However by joining the Association you help to pay for the distribution of the
Newsletter.

2023 Central Coast Edible Garden Trail is back for it's second year on the 21st and 22nd of October! Featuring around 50 gardens right across the Central Coast, the Trail is an opportunity for all Coasties to:

● see what foods grow well here in our climate,
● learn from experienced gardeners who have been successfully growing food without harmful chemicals and producing healthy and safe food for their families, some for almost three decades
● feel inspired to head home and take action, knowing there is a supportive community they can reach out to to ask questions and get advice when they need it

Come on down to Banavie Reserve (the beach playground) tomorrow to meet and chat with our local Macs RFS volunteers for this year’s Get Ready Weekend.
A great idea for all residents, even if you’ve been in previous years!
They’ll be there from 9am to midday.

Meet with your local RFS brigade members during Get
Ready Weekend. We will be holding an event at Banavie Reserve,
Marine Parade,MacMasters Beach on the 16th September starting at 9AM.
Know your risk this bush fire season.

Hi all,
the meeting tomorrow night has now been rescheduled for next month due to holidays, illness and not a whole lot happening this month!
Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to seeing you on Monday the 25th of September.

Reminder of the info session tonight re a potential community battery at the progress hall at 7pm. Rug up!

29/06/2023

For those that missed last Monday's Progress meeting, we had Scott and Robyn McClung from Copa come to speak to us about the community powershare scheme they are currently working on.

The aim of this scheme is to develop a not-for-profit co-operative to provide value for the community members of the broader 2251 postcode by sharing excess locally produced solar electricity, provide cheaper power prices, increase the equity of solar power access, provide higher returns to solar producers and utilise a solar battery to facilitate this.

We are looking at having Scott and Robyn return to Macs in the near future to host another information session for those who would like to find out more or get involved!
If you're interested in attending, please send a message to our page with your preferred contact email address and we can add you to a mailing list when we have a date organised.
