Open House is a unique community based public benevolent organisation offering friendship and holistic support to needy, marginalised and disadvantaged children, youth and adults through a diversity of positive and creative programs. We are so thankful for all our wonderful volunteers at Open House!
Our volunteers have been busy today, fixing bikes 🚲🔧 and mowing lawns 🌿 to help support our community.
The repaired bikes will be given to people in need at Malahang Reserve, where we’re there every Thursday from 3:30–5:30 pm. 🚲❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who gives their time, skills and energy to make a difference! 👏

A Special Baking Day! 🧁👩‍🍳
Throwing it back to the school holidays, when Cheryl and Eva enjoyed a special baking day ahead of our High Tea! ☕🍰

The day was a great opportunity for both of them to work towards goals they had set earlier in the year. It was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed their cooking and baking day, and even more special to see their excitement when they received their Clubwork Certificates of Achievement! 🎓👏

It was wonderful to have our CEO, Paul Burgess, share the message at Bible Fellowship last Thursday 🙏📖 Paul always brings something meaningful and practical, and last week’s discussion focused on gaining wisdom and using it to make wise decisions in our everyday lives.

If you’re looking for Christian fellowship and would like to explore the Bible, you are warmly welcome to join us at Open House! ❤️

Bible Fellowship includes singing, Bible study and afternoon tea, and runs every Thursday from 1:00–3:00 pm. ☕🎶📖

Last week in Clubwork, we completed a creative photo frame activity that encouraged both reminiscing and creativity 🖼️🎨
We collated photos of our participants from throughout the years, which sparked lots of wonderful conversations, memories and stories 💭
It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, and the atmosphere in the room was so positive!
We love activities that bring people together, celebrate memories and create new ones💙

Our wonderful volunteers have been hard at work, helping to dig a trench in preparation for electrical works on our back shed. 💪🛠️ A big thank you to our volunteers for getting stuck in and helping keep Open House moving forward! 👏

Big Event News!
St. James Anglican Church, Ivanhoe is hosting the Open Door Gospel Singers Concert
on Saturday, August 15th, at 2:30pm. Afternoon tea to follow.
This event is in support of Open House Macleod and their diligent work in the lives of
"...troubled and disadvantaged youths who didn't fit in." Donations are welcomed by
all attendants to the ticketed concert.

We have plenty of activities to enjoy, including:
🏓 Table tennis 🚶 Walking group 🎲 Board games 🖍️ Colouring & crafts. Or simply come for a chat and a drink!
It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and feel part of the community.

🍽️ Community Lunch: 12:00pm – 1:00pm
