The TV weather bureau girl predicts rain for Saturday, however, being the optimistic people that we are, Maclean Food Bank are hoping to have our monthly garage sale to raise funds to purchase foods for those in need in the Lower Clarence.
We only have 2 more garage sales until Christmas is upon us, so come along, find yourselves a bargain and be a little in front before the mad rush.
We have more “stuff” than the middle isle at Aldi – both new and pre loved clothes and shoes, books, bric-a-brac, camping gear, a pram and baby gear, brand new un**es, all sorts of kitchen wares. All children’s books are free and this month, we will have a big free box of goodies for you to rummage through. We are making room for new stock to arrive for November’s sale, so come along and find a bargain.
Looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as new ones, all in the name of Community. Together we will help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Maclean Food bank is having its monthly garage sale to raise funds to purchase foods for those in need in our community.

When: This Saturday 5th September, 2026.
Where: Cnr Church and Woodford Streets, Maclean.
Time: From 8.00 until 12.00.

Each month we have different stock, kindly donated by the community as their way of helping us raise this well needed funds.
Baby high chair, camping gear, clothing both new and pre loved, bric a brac, brand new un**es, books, crockery.
Come in and find yourself a bargain. More stuff than the middle aisle at Aldi.

Look forward to seeing familiar faces and lots of new ones.

It’s the first Saturday of the month again as we start the new month of August.

Maclean Food Bank is having its monthly garage sale.
When: This Saturday 1st August, 2026
Where: Cnr Church and Woodford Streets.
Time: From 8.00 till 12.00

We have lots of stock that needs to find a new home. Everything and more, than the middle aisle at Aldi, and all in an effort to raise funds to purchase foods for those in need in the Lower River. Every dollar that is spent at the garage sale goes into buying food, so we look forward to seeing new faces and familiar ones on Saturday toward a worthy cause.

Bargains are hard to find but with Maclean hosting the Highland Gathering, the Maclean Markets as well as the Maclean Food Bank Garage sale this weekend, we are hoping that the number of people in town will surely find a bargain over Easter.

We have so much new stock that there should be something for everyone here.

Maclean Food Bank is having its first garage sale for 2026.
All funds raised from the garage sale go to purchasing food for those less fortunate in our community.
We have lots of new stock e.g. a whole box of new men’s sized 9 sports shoes, still with the tags on, brand new un**es, toasters, kettles, brick a brac, dinner sets, clothing, books, camping gear etc. All donated toward a good cause.
Come in a browse and find a good bargain or a present for someone.
When: This Saturday 7th February, 2026
Where: Cnr Church and Woodford Streets, Maclean.
Time: From 8.30 till 12.00.

Yesterday, Jesus was the reason for the season. It was the culmination of a year's worth of hard work. Santa bags were packed up for the families of those that needed it. Vouchers were supplied to those that had their names down and many bags of food went out the door. We would like to thank the businesses in Maclean who supported us, too many to name. To Lions in Maclean who have supported us since inception. To the Lawrence Quilting ladies who made beautiful quilts for each child. Maclean quilters, not to be outdone made personal care bags to be distributed. To the Maclean community who have supported us both financially as well as with food donations, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without you all we would not be able to offer help to those in need.
If I can get the photos to accompany this post, you will see the shenanigans and goodwill that we shared yesterday.
We are open next Monday for anyone that is in need. No - one need go hungry.
Finally, the Uniting Church are hosting a FREE Christmas lunch at 12.00 in the Peace Hall for anyone who would be alone on Christmas Day.
Just turn up and enjoy a lovely lunch and meet new people.
