What are twiddle muffs? And what are they used for? 💜

These wonderful handmade sensory muffs provide comfort, stimulation, and calm for people living with dementia, anxiety, autism, or those who simply benefit from tactile support. Filled with different textures, ribbons, buttons, and soft materials, they help keep hands busy while offering reassurance and reducing stress.

Twiddle M**fs are more than just knitted items — they’re gifts of care, comfort, and connection. Every stitch can make a real difference to someone’s day.

If you knit, crochet, sew, or craft, consider making one for your local aged care home, hospital, or community group. And if you know someone who could benefit from one, share this post and spread the word 💕

The Nambucca Valley Band plus Piper led the march.

Over 300 people including

The ANZAC address was given by Taylor Whalley, Macksville High student.

The fly over was a F35 airfare fighter jet.

Well, congratulations to Macksville CWA who won a 1st and 2nd prize at the Mid-North Coast Group judging earlier this week.

I can't reveal the entries yet but watch this space.

The 1st prize entry will go on to the state judging. Keep your fingers 🤞 for another win.

Hi CWA Macksville members.

Just a reminder that our 1st meeting for 2026 is just a week away on Thursday Feb 12th.

Please bring any craft items you are thinking of entering in the Group handicraft competition, not forgetting your piece for the Branch entry.

The Cookery challenge is the coconut loaf. Have you had a go at making it yet?

Looking forward to seeing you all.

I'm looking to buy pectin to make jam but there's none at Woollies or Foodworks in Macksville. Any local suggestions?
