We absolutely adore having Glenn from the Mackay Chamber Music Festival visit us each year to help prepare our Eisteddfod peices. As one of our young members said, having a world renowned musician play for us is something special.

Thank you to all of the community and sponsors who come together to create this opportunity and a massive thank you to Glenn for always giving up his time to give us inspiration and a good laugh during rehearsal.

We also welcomed some special guests visiting Mackay this week, what a fabulous time to play together 🎻🎶

It's time to register for Term 3!! This term we are so excited to have Glenn Christensen join us in week 1 and our Eisteddfod performance at the end of this 6 week intensive block!

A wonderful term 2 intensive block ending with a fun performance at the River of Life Festival thanks to all who were involved! Term 3 block coming up soon!

Mackay City Strings will be performing at this year's River of Life Festival on the community stage, to celebrate and share the work we have put in for the past 6 weeks. The last grass section before Paxtons! We are on at 2.15pm for 30min. Come on down and have a listen and explore all of the other fabulous attractions, entertainment and stalls!

‼️ Help needed ‼️ Mackay City Strings are looking for a new rehearsal venue. We are wanting to rehearse Wednesday from 5.30pm to 7pm. This will only be for 6 week blocks during the year, I can provide exact dates.
