🎉 MSS P&C FUN RUN 2026 – BEST DRESSED WINNERS! 🎉

What an incredible day at the 2026 MacGregor State School Fun Run! The creativity, effort and school spirit on display was absolutely next level — you all blew us away!

This year, the P&C had the toughest job of all — trying to pick just ONE winner from the junior classes and ONE from the senior classes. After much deliberation (and a lot of very impressed faces!), we simply couldn't do it. Every single entry was so spectacular that we decided ALL best dressed entrants deserve to be celebrated!

Every winning class will be treated to a well-earned Pizza Party — we'll be in touch with teachers shortly to arrange!

And a VERY special mention to our fabulous Deputies — Jess, Sandi, Gary and Diana — who completely stole the show in their matching fluorescent tracksuits. Groovy, baby! That kind of commitment to the polyester deserves its very own Pizza Party, and they'll be getting exactly that! 🍕

BUT WAIT — the most exciting news of all…
We are absolutely thrilled to share that this year's Fun Run looks to have raised over $14,000!

Your generosity and fundraising efforts have been truly outstanding, MacGregor families. This incredible result combined with the Mother's Day Stall profits means the P&C will be handing over $25,000 to MacGregor State School THIS WEEK — to be invested in brand new library and literacy resources for our students!

Every lap run, every dollar raised and every costume worn has contributed to something that will benefit every single child at our school for years to come.

A huge thank you to every single family, student and teacher who participated, fundraised and showed up in style. Stay tuned — Pizza Party winners for highest participation classes will be announced soon once all funds are counted!

With Sports Day just around the corner, we need YOUR help to make our Hot Chip Canteen at Mac Place a huge success!

On Wednesday 24th June, the MSS P&C will be running a Hot Chip Canteen during Sports Day, selling hot chips and cold drinks, with all profits going toward our Term 2, 2026 fundraising goal for Library and Reading Resources.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out — no experience needed, just a love of community (and hot chips!).

Two shifts are available:

🍟 Morning Shift: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Prepare hot chips, cold drinks, and help with selling

🍟 Afternoon Shift: 12:00pm – 2:30pm
Prepare hot chips, cold drinks, selling, and help pack up

We need 3 more volunteers per shift, so please sign up early and secure your spot!

What an amazing day our Fun Run was — our kids absolutely smashed it! 🎉

Now it's time to get those sponsorship dollars in! Here's what you need to know:

📅 DEADLINE: Monday 15 June

💳 HOW TO PAY:
✅ Online via FlexiSchools
✅ Cash in person via the School Office drop box

🍕 WIN A PIZZA PARTY!
The classes with the highest participation — that's the greatest NUMBER of students returning their sponsorship funds (not the total amount raised) — will win a pizza party! Every student who returns funds counts toward their class total, so even a small amount makes a difference!

Let's make sure every effort from our incredible kids is rewarded — get those funds in by Monday! 🙌

Did you know that when parents get involved in their school community, children perform better, settle into school programs more easily, and feel truly valued? That's exactly what the MacGregor State School P&C Association is all about — and we'd love to have you join us!

The P&C operates three businesses that directly support our school community: MacGregor Outside School Hours Care, Mac Snack Shack Tuckshop, and the Uniform & Stationery Shop — as well as running events, fundraisers, and so much more.

📅 Come Along to Our Next Meeting! Our next P&C Meeting is on Tuesday, 16th June at 6:30 pm, held on site at MOSHC. It's a great opportunity to hear what's happening at MacGregor State School and have your voice heard. New faces are always warmly welcomed — no experience necessary!

🏃‍♀️✨ WHAT A FUN RUN! ✨🏃‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who dressed up and brought such amazing energy to today's MacGregor State School Fun Run 2026— you absolutely made the afternoon! 🎉

A massive shout out to our incredible volunteer parents Yuijin, Inder and Harry who came along to help set up alongside our Deputies and Mr Holloway — we couldn't do it without you! 🙌

🏆 Best Dressed so far has to go to our EPIC deputies, who showed up in full racing outfits and were absolutely ready to party!

A special thank you to our wonderful sponsor and community partner Mathnasium of Upper Mount Gravatt for donating red sunnies for the event, and to Kmart Sunnybank for donating the bubbles — your generosity made the day extra special!

We were so lucky the rain stayed away for a perfect afternoon! ☀️

📢 TWO IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

💰 If you have sponsorship money to return, please make sure you do so as soon as possible or by Monday 15th June to be in the running for a PIZZA PARTY! Money can be paid via Flexi-Schools or to the office in a clearly marked envelope in cash.
