Halloween is almost here! Get your friends together, plan your costumes and get ready for a night of music, dancing and spooky fun at Meadows Memorial Hall 🖤

BYG is joining the Maccy Lantern Parade! 🏮

We’re heading along to the Macclesfield community Lantern Festival and would love for you to join us! ✨

BYG young people will meet at Macclesfield Institute at 6:15pm to collect the lanterns we made last term and prepare some platters before walking over to the parade together.

📅 When: Friday 23 October, 6:15pm–8:00pm
📍 Where: Macclesfield Institute

The lantern lighting starts at 6:45pm at Davenport Square, and the rest of the family are welcome to meet us there to enjoy the parade and a FREE BBQ dinner! 🌭

Mini Makers Market – TOMORROW!

Hi all!

The Adelaide Hills Mini Makers Market is on TOMORROW, and Battunga Youth Group will be there with our very own stall!

📅 Date: Saturday 10 October
⏰ Time: 8:30am–12:30pm
📍 Location: 23 Mann Street, Mount Barker

We’ll be showcasing some of the things our young people have been creating, including handmade bookmarks made with pressed flowers from the Battunga region, cookies and some other fun creations.

All money raised will go towards continuing BYG, providing more free activities for local young people, and helping fund an end-of-year celebration to recognise and celebrate all the effort the young people have put into the fundraiser.

It’s also a great opportunity to come along, support local young and check out all the creative things the young people in our community have been making!

The Adelaide Hills Mini Makers Market is TOMORROW! 🌸

Battunga Youth Group has spent the past few weeks planning, creating and preparing for our very own fundraising stall, and we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on!

Our young people have been busy making some beautiful pressed-flower bookmarks using flowers from the Battunga region, putting together cookie mix jars (perfect for gifting! 🎁) and baking some delicious cookies to sell at the market. 🍪🌼

All money raised will go towards supporting BYG, providing more free activities for local young people and helping fund an end-of-year celebration to recognise and celebrate the effort everyone has put into this fundraiser. 💛

We’ll be getting everything ready for tomorrow’s Adelaide Hills Mini Makers Market, making treats, crafting and hanging out. Every helping hand makes a difference, and you’re welcome to drop in for as little or as long as you like!

REMINDER: BYG Market Prep Day & Hang 🛍️

Just a reminder that our BYG Market Prep Day is happening this Friday! We’ve got lots to get done before the Adelaide Hills Mini Makers Market on Saturday, and we need all the help we can get to make our stall a success! 🙌

We’ll be:
🎨 Making pressed-flower bookmarks
🍪 Baking treats to sell at the market
✨ Getting our stall items and decorations ready
🎲 Playing games, having snacks and hanging out

Even if you can only make it for part of the session, come along and lend a hand — every bit helps! The more people we have helping, the more we can get done and the better our market stall will be.

🌸 If you’ve pressed any flowers, bring them along! And if you have any craft supplies you think we could use, feel free to bring those too.

💰 All money raised will go towards an end-of-year celebration or excursion chosen by the young people, as well as supporting future BYG activities.
