Lysterfield MTB

Lysterfield MTB A community for riders who love Lysterfield Mountain Bike Park, Victoria. The club was foremost set up as an advocacy group.

The Lysterfield District Trail Riders (LDTR) are a mountain bike club, managed by volunteers who also enjoy mountain biking. We are the sole volunteer group who look after all the mountain bike trails within Lysterfield Park. Some of our roles/tasks include:
• Maintaining and building mountain bike trails.
• Organising mountain bike races and events.
• Holding social ride days, epic rides and fami

ly/beginner social rides.
• Offering skill clinics.
• Supporting bike demo days.
• Communicating with other stakeholders (for the park and the sport).
• Being a voice for those who have an interest in our sport and the trails at Lysterfield Park. Our club is always working hard to offer the best mountain biking and visitor experience at Lysterfield Park. We take pride in the results of what our volunteers help create and could not be where we are today without those who have volunteered their time to improve mountain biking at Lysterfield Park.

GOG SHUTTLES!!!!

We will be taking advantage of the morning shuttle session, you need to book your own shuttle, don’t leave this till last minute as they have been super popular and often sell out.

Warburton’s bike trails are calling and we’re gathering the gang to go play. Meeting at the trail head at Wesburn Park, we’ll be taking on the famous Warburton Bike park trails, this is a shuttle ride, bring snacks/water and any spares required in case of bike issues.

After ride food will be at the football club cafe, supporting the local community.

YOU MUST BOOK YOUR OWN SHUTTLE- don’t leave it too late!

👏 Let's support our local community 👏

La Larr Ba Gauwa Working Bee - Sunday 14 June.

The focus will be on the southern trails - Barramul (6), Gart Gart (7), Mir (8) and Gurri (10) and, if numbers allow, we’ll also tackle some work on fire-affected areas on that side of the park on Milipa(9) and Milakuk(10).

When: Sunday 14 June
Registration: From 8:00 am
Where: Oak Forest Campground
BBQ: From around 12:45 pm, thanks to the Castlemaine Rocky Riders 🙏

Someone will be at the registration area throughout the day for those who may not be able to make the early start.

If you have any of the following tools and can bring them along, that would be a big help:

* High-powered leaf blower
* Rakehoe
* Plastic leaf rake
* Loppers / handsaw

We’ll have some tools available, but probably won’t be able to supply everyone.

Please bring sturdy enclosed shoes, gloves, sun protection and water. We’ll have some water and snacks available as well.

We’d like everyone to register for insurance purposes and so we get a feel for numbers and tools. You can complete the online form here:

🐍Welcome to the Lysty Trail Blazers.

We are excited to spend time with you learning new skills, riding the fabulous Lysty trails, having some dress-up theme days and having a go at some timed racing this year.

Format: Our ride will start with a 30 minute skills session taken by qualified coaches. This will be followed by a trail ride of 1.5hrs. Our ride is open to all abilities (rides may be longer or shorter depending on the riders). Any groups we split off into will be "no drop" and we'll meet up at any junctions for a chat - This is a nice cruisy social ride. After the ride we have time to share our adventures over fruit and drinks.
