Luddenham Show Society

Luddenham AH&I Society Inc. The country show since 1891. In 1891 a Group of Luddenham Locals formed the Luddenham AH & I Society to run a Local Show.

The First Show was held on the 5 & 6 March 1891 and was described as being "The Best First Show ever help in the Colony". From then on Luddenham Show has continued, over the years some of the Shows were cancled due to War & Drought. Nowdays Luddenham Show is stil held around the same time of the year, it is the first Show on the lead up to the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Held on the Showground that

is owned by the Committee it is known as the "Country Show" . Every year the Show grows, but still keeps it's rural feel.

Srill haven't made plans for Mother's Day? Plated and Poured will be hosting their inaugural Mother's Day Bakery Picnic at the Showground next Sunday. The event will run from 10am to 5pm and feature live music from multiple performers. Admission is $15pp or $5pp for those who bring a home baked good. The Ludenham Showground will be rented out to the team from the Luddenham Easter Festival again this Easter long weekend. There is plenty of fun for the kids with fireworks, motorbikes, reptile shows, rides, and showbags - plus the Easter Hat Parade on Sunday 🐰 Head over to the Luddenham Easter Festival page for questions or further info. Finally, we would like to thank YOU. Thanks for supporting our Show, for getting involved and contributing to this fantastic community event. We rely on your exhibits, your animals, your skills and your involvement to give people something to watch, enjoy and remember for years to come. It doesn't matter whether you won a prize, baked the perfect cake or finished your ice cream in the competition - you had a go and that's what counts. Our next acknowledgement is for our hard working volunteers. Whether you are on the committee, a steward, judge, chook washer, camp drafter, BBQ extraordinaire or cleaner - we say a huge THANK YOU. Our Show is 100% run by volunteers who donate their time, effort and resources not just over the Show weekend but throughout the year to ensure that we are Show ready. There are too many groups of volunteers for us to list, but we are so grateful for your support - no matter how big or small your contribution is. We don't have photos of everyone but you know who you are! Inbox us if you would like volunteer for our 2027 Show, no experience is needed

On this International Women's Day, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the women and girls who contribute to the Show. We are so lucky to have had some incredible women pave the way and make it easier for women and girls to be involved today. Did you know that it was the Show's Ladies Auxiliary the founded the Show kitchen more than 50yrs ago? The Auxiliary raised much needed funds for Showground improvements including fences, flooring and of course the flushing toilets

Have you collected your exhibits from the Pavilion yet? We still have some items that have not been collected - please inbox us to arrange a collection time. If you've collected too many exhibits and found some items that are not yours, please let us know - we have two black and white photos that are yet to make their way home. Thanks to all of the wonderful exhibitors who donated their knitted and crocheted beanies to the Police Citizens Winter Appeal. These were dropped off on Monday and received with open (and very grateful) arms

As we reflect on another fantastic Show, its time for us to give a series of acknowledgements. The first is to our wonderful sponsors who share their time, money, goods and services with us so we can put on a Show. Without these sponsors, our Show would look very different! They support us, so it would be great if you could support them in return. Let them know that you appreciate them as much as we do! .

WOW! What a massive weekend, thank you to everyone who was part of it. Our pavilion was chockers, Elvis dazzled the crowd, the working dogs entertained us, the horses put on a Show and how about those bucking bulls! Please give us a chance to catch our breath and get back to our day jobs for a minute. We will sort through all of our photos and share the details of the horse photographer over the coming weeks, thanks for being patient

Yesterday was HUGE, and today we are going to do it all again! Horse events start at 8am before the sheep dog trials start in the adjoining paddock at 9am. Madstyle Moto are back for more shows, plus Dingo Dryden, the poet's breakfast, lego comp, ice cream eating comp, chook washing and so much more! Don't forget the bull ride is on at 2.30pm, we have a line up of fearless cowboys ready to take on some of the rankest bulls from across the state. Tickets are available at the gate, check out our website for further info .

The gates are open, the bbq is on and we are up and running for the 2026 Show! Our horse events kicked off at 8am, the poultry has been penned and the cattle are going through final preparations before judging. We've had very little rain over the past 24hrs and all events are still scheduled to occur as planned. We look forward to seeing you soon #
