And that's a wrap!
Another Loxton Holiday Swim season completed.
We started off the week with an extremely hot day, which saw us cancel the wonder classes, as it would have been too hot in the sun for our under 5 classes.
It wasn't what we wanted to do as we want children to have as much time in the water as possible, but we take our duty of care seriously.
Tuesday brought another challenge, when the Waikerie pool had some issues and their classes couldn't go ahead, so we opened our arms and lessons up to anyone who wanted to travel the 45minutes to Loxton.
We welcomed 12 students from Waikerie, and received some lovely feedback from the families, around how accommodating we were and how our team of instructors were flexible , welcoming the students into their lessons.
From the feedback we got, the students enjoyed their time at Loxton.
The rest of the week went without a hitch, with children laughing and participating in the activities.
We had a full team of instructors, assistants and volunteers this year . 5 instructors, 2 assistants ( 1 instructor in training) , and 4 volunteers. I couldn't be more proud of the team we have become! We all work together, sharing pool space when needed and helping each other, no questions asked, they just get in and get the job done.
Once again Loxton Swimming Pool have provided us with a clean and safe facility. Having pool lifeguards on deck, watching over our lessons and providing singing support when it came to the infant/toddler classes. Thank you !.
We had many returning families this year who show their support year in and year out!. Your loyalty and dedication to Holiday Swim is appreciated. To know you are just as dedicated to your children's swimming and water safety means a lot to us,. We also had some new faces join our Loxton Holiday Swim family.
