Had a lovely visit from Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Nadia Clancy this morning who was impressed at what we do for the community at Loxcare Inc.

It was great to showcase how we assist the community.

What a lovely way to end National Volunteers Week.
Congratulations to Loxcare's Volunteers Lyn and Terry Cook on receiving Rotary Club of Loxton Individual Pride of Workmanship Awards tonight.
We enjoyed a very inspiring speech by guest speaker Tammie Kernich and an awesome meal by the LoxtonClub Loxton. Thankyou to Rotary for organising this awards night each year and for recognising the work our awesome community do. Congratulations to all awardees as well.

A big thankyou to our Loxton community for coming out this morning to support Loxcare's Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer. I am happy to say that this morning we raised $915 which included an online donation. This mean we will have raised over our target of $3,000. I will post our final amount wants it is finalised.

Thankyou to all our Volunteers that helped today and baked the lovely food and helped and supported our fund-raising events. Thanks to Darryl Knowling for Volunteerin to provide some some music this morning. This ends a fabulous week for recognising our Volunreers during Volunteers Week. You are all awesome.

Today we farewelled our beautiful Friend of Loxcare. Norma Schubert was one of the nicest, kindest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. At the age of 96 Norma was still knitting rugs for people in need and those struggling including the homeless, this included using leftover balls of wool and recycling jeans and pants by sewing bags to hold the rugs. Most recently while her health was deteriorating Norma offered to cut up unsaleable excess clothing into rags for Loxcare to bag for sale. She used to keep us on our toes by requesting more to do to keep her busy. Such a beautiful soul we feel privileged to have had you in our lives. RIP Norma you were a true gem and will be missed. x
