This week the Deputy Chief Officer Kristy Phelps visited Noarlunga SES. Awards received by members included 2, 10 years service medals, 1,20 years service bar, 1, 5 year certificate, 4 SA Premier's Certificates for outstanding service and 5 NSW Premiers Flood Citations for the 22 23 Northern floods. Congratulations to these members, Noa SES is proud of all it's members as they serve the community, the state and the nation!

Successful Multi-Agency Rescue – Deep Gully Extrication

On Sunday 2 August, Noarlunga SES responded alongside emergency service partners to assist with the rescue of a patient from a deep gully.

Working together with SA Ambulance Service Special Operations Team (SOT), Rescue 52 – State Rescue Helicopter, Aldinga CFS, and Sellicks CFS, crews successfully assisted with the rescue operation.

It was a different kind of job yesterday with the rescue of a calf stuck down a 15m well at Port Elliot. Crews from Noarlunga State Emergency Service, South Coast State Emergency Service, Strathalbyn SES and Port Elliot CFS attended, and successfully retrieved the calf from the well. A great outcome in difficult circumstances.

July has started as a busy month at Noarlunga Unit with 85 Requests for Assistance in the first 2 weeks.

Today’s tree over a fence and partially onto a house took our members six hours to chain saw, winch and drag branches to complete the job. Well done to everyone involved.
