🪴💜 Melinda has been busy getting her hands dirty and showing off her green thumb, potting up some beautiful cuttings of Zebrina Tradescantias, also known as the “Purple Highway” 🌱

From carefully washing pots, preparing the soil, to planting and nurturing the cuttings, Melinda was fully involved every step of the way. Activities like this are more than just gardening, they build independence, routine, confidence and a real sense of accomplishment.

You can see the pride in Melinda’s smile as she watches her hard work come together 💚

Robbie has been busy making music, marching to the beat of his own drum and enjoying some classic Beatles tunes lately 🎶🥁

Whether it’s creating his own little jam session with instruments and noise makers or relaxing while listening to The Beatles, Robbie always brings his own unique style and personality to the day 👏

Robbie has also been out exploring the neighbourhood, rugged up in his Collingwood beanie…….

One of the highlights was getting out amongst the beautiful autumn leaves, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the colours of the season 🍂

We love seeing Robbie enjoying the simple things, music, nature, community outings and expressing himself in his own way 😊

Aaron has been busy working alongside Support Professionals, building on his daily living skills and independence 💪😊

From shopping for groceries, unpacking the bags, hanging out the washing and even assisting to make the bed, Aaron has been putting in the effort and learning valuable everyday skills along the way 👏

Of course… it wouldn’t be Aaron without that cheeky grin and a bit of fun mixed in too 😂 No matter the task, Aaron always manages to keep everyone smiling.

At adaptCARE, it’s not always just about outings and fun activities, it’s also about building confidence, independence and life skills that help participants thrive in their everyday lives 🧡🖤

🎆 What a Cracker of a Night! 🎆

A huge thank you to St Michael's Association Inc. for putting on such a fantastic Cracker Night 2026 event. The evening was filled with community spirit, smiles, excitement, and of course an incredible fireworks display that lit up the night sky.

Our 8 adaptCARE participants, alongside their dedicated support professionals, had an amazing time enjoying the festivities. From sparklers and socialising to watching the spectacular fireworks, there were plenty of moments that created lasting memories for everyone involved.

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the importance of inclusive community activities that bring people together, create connections, and allow everyone to experience the joy of being part of something special.

Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone involved in making the evening such a success. We are already looking forward to the next one!

🐻🧡 We had a very special visitor drop into the adaptCARE office this week!

After making his way around the office, posing for photos with Ben, Adam, Bec and Jarrod, and taking a quick look around reception, he seemed pretty impressed with what he found. 😊

While he didn’t say much, we’re fairly certain his review included:
⭐ Plenty of smiles
⭐ A welcoming atmosphere
⭐ Great people
⭐ And maybe a few extra bear hugs

Sometimes it’s the unexpected little moments that brighten everyone’s day.

Emily and Support Professional Andy had a fantastic time exploring the bug exhibit at the Launceston Museum last week 🐛🦋🕷️

Emily loved getting creative, spending time drawing different bugs and trying out the interactive displays throughout the exhibit 🎨✨ Her smile says it all!

There were plenty of laughs along the way too… especially when Emily decided a giant red spider probably belonged on her head 😂🕸️

adaptCARE, Outings like these are such a great way to encourage creativity, confidence, learning and community connection while having fun in a safe and supportive environment 🖤🧡🖤

🏁💚 Aaron was living his best life at the Supercars!!

From checking out the drivers and soaking up the atmosphere, to enjoying a warm drink and taking in all the action, Aaron was absolutely in his element. The smiles, excitement and expressions say it all, sometimes it’s the simple experiences and getting out into the community that create the biggest moments.

At adaptCARE, we love seeing our participants enjoying opportunities that bring them happiness, connection and excitement. Whether it’s music, cars, sport, discos or just being surrounded by people and energy, these moments matter.

Today Australia loses not just a football figure, but a fighter, a leader, and a man who changed the way the world sees Motor Neurone Disease.

Neale gave people living with MND something incredibly powerful, hope.
Hope through awareness, through advocacy, through courage, and through the simple but powerful reminder to never give up.

His strength, humour, resilience and determination inspired millions of Australians to care, to donate, to support research, and to stand together in the fight against this devastating disease.

“Play On” became more than words, it became a movement.

To Neale’s family, friends, and everyone impacted by MND, we send our deepest condolences and love.

Thank you, Neale, for showing the world what true courage looks like.
Your legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

Neale Daniher. We will forever remember him as our inspiration. Our fighter. The Reverend.

Neale's tireless advocacy saw millions invested in vital research and care projects, creating hope for those living with motor neurone disease (MND).

This does not and will not end with Neale.

His signature rally cry, Play On, is louder now more than ever. Together we continue Neale's fight, moving closer to a future without MND.

Mark has been making the most of the beautiful weather lately with some relaxing outings and plenty of smiles ☀️🦆

One of his favourite adventures was heading down by the river in Perth to feed the ducks and enjoy some classic fish and chips by the water. Safe to say the ducks were pretty happy to see him too 😂

Mark has also been spending time out and about in the neighbourhood with Support Professionals, enjoying walks, fresh air and meeting some of the neighbours along the way 👋
