In the early hours of this morning a family who are members of our Club and Nipper community lost their home to a fire. Thankfully, Sarah and her two girls, Elouise (9) and Poppy (3), were staying with her parents in Sydney at the time and are safe.

Sarah is a single mum, and while they have insurance, they’ve lost everything in their home. The insurance process will take time, and right now they need help replacing clothes, toiletries and everyday essentials, as well as covering the unexpected costs of the weeks ahead.

The 2026/27 Patrol Season begins this Saturday, 26 September at 9am (8.30 for 9am flags up).

The official Raising of the Flags Ceremony will take place here at Toowoon Bay SLSC at 9am and this will mark the start of another season of keeping our beach going community safe while visiting the beach.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Andrew Sinclair who passed away peacefully at Liverpool Hospital on 13/9/26 aged 87. Andrew was a member of The Club for many years including being a director from 1959-1963

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his wife Ann and his children Mark and Cassandra.

The family extends a warm invitation to a celebration of Andrew’s life to be held at the South Chapel, Woronora Memorial Park, 121 Linden Street, Sutherland at 12noon on Tuesday 6th October 2026 followed by a wake at the Gymea Miranda Bowling & Sports Club, 691 Kingsway, Gymea.
