Our newest wheelchair accessible vehicle has been delivered. No thanks to any support from the labour government. They’re happy to support the taxi industry but not the Community Transport sector. All we want is a fair deal.

More handouts for the Taxi industry and whilst Community transporters are doing it hard no assistance.
Taxis 5.68% increase
Community transport 3.94%
Taxis up to 55kgrant renewal for a wheelchair accessible vehicle
Community transport fund you own
Taxis 21 million over 5 years to increase the number of Wheelchair accessible vehicles.....guess how many additional WAV's .........2
Community transport 123% increase in lifts in Logan of WAV
Community transport 363% increase in lifts in Townsville WAV
Over 500% increase in cairns lifts for WAV.

46% increase in the cost of a WAV. Now 109K

Its like they want the industry to fail.

Tried speaking to Ministers they dont want to know.Been kicking this can down the road since 2018.

Tomorrow i will post same trip, same vehicle, both paid drivers same fuel but one gets over $100 from July 1 for that trip and the other gets $44

Yesterday 17 TransitCare Community Flyer staff, family and friends participated as a group in the 2024 Mater Fun Run, supporting Breast Cancer. Our team walked 5 kms, the rain held off until they finished and a great morning was had by all! I was grateful that the team outfitted me appropriately!

We plan to do this as an annual team event, spreading the word further to ensure that other staff members who wish to participate are able to. Thank you also to our incredible driver, Bill Simpson, who volunteered his time to drive us in and bring us home again.

Our target as a team was to raise $2,500 and we exceeded this by raising $2,575.

As we near the end of the year, I am very proud to say that we have achieved 269,885 trips - a mammoth effort by all. Congratulations to our fabulous and hard working team! We celebrated on Saturday night at our Christmas party at SeaWorld with 150 staff, partners, board members and volunteers.

Starting today, TransitCare is now offering services on the Gold Coast.

We can assist with transport to hospital and medical appointments, the pharmacy, general shopping and groceries, the bank and post
office, the gym, swimming, the library, the hairdresser and personal grooming, social and recreational outings, and visiting family
and friends.

We will be focusing on areas around the Gold Coast University Hospital and the surrounding health precinct, with travel as far north as Coomera and as far south as Pacific Fair.

Bookings can be made by calling 3422 7900 between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Mondays to Fridays and must be made by 10.00 am, two working days before you wish to travel.

We are looking forward to supporting the Gold Coast community with accessible transport.
