The lions club would like to congratulate our winners of our famous Xmas Raffle, drawn Xmas eve at midday by local councillor and Lion Nathan “ Sledge” Ledger.

Second Prize: Lions Cake + $100 Bunnings Voucher Peter from Loganlea Ticket No 1806 sold at Bunnings Bethania
Third Prize: Lions Cake + $50 Bunnings Voucher Pam ( unable to contact to date) Ticket No 1834 also sold at Bunnings Bethania.

Congratulations to our winners and a huge thankyou to all those that bought ( and sold) tickets. We were able to raise over $4500 which will be redirected back into our local community where it is most needed.

Plenty happening at the Lions Club of Logan village precinct today.
Our new generator arrived and with the assistance of the crane truck from our good friends at Wayne Norman Timbers was duly inserted onto the truck. Our resident engineer and mechanic Lion Bob, and his faithful sidekick and trades assistant / 1sy year apprentice Lion Brad duly fixed it to the truck.

A huge thank you to Enkleman Foundation for the grant to make this happen.

In times of natural disasters when we have power outages, the generator will plug into our community hall , powering up our precinct so that the Lions can operate a drop in respite centre where local residents can shower, grab some shelter and food and charge up phones etc. this is an ongoing and developing community service initiative by our club.

But the real work was done by Lions Pedro and Phil. Digging out grass and weeds and barrowing in about 3 cubes of gravel into our garden beds around our Lions Community Hall.

Great work by all the lions involved.

Lions around the world are united in grief following the tragic loss of five members of our Lions family in a bus accident in Togo.

These Lions were serving others on a humanitarian mission to inaugurate a new maternity ward in Benin. Their dedication to helping others reflects the very best of who we are.

We extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, and fellow Lions in France, Togo, and Benin. Their legacy of kindness will continue to inspire us all.
